driver broke after just a few uses (toe187, MT, 2008-05-01)

I am a relatively new golfer. I was looking to get something a little better than what came with my starter set of clubs. I figured at this price these clubs would be perfect even if they didn't hit extremely well, they would be better than what i had. The first few times i hit the driver, i could see a little line form on the top of the club like the paint was chipping. With each drive it got a little longer. After hitting about 50-60 balls it developed into a full blown crack running paralell to the club face along the top of the driver head. I can only assume it to be either a design flaw or manufacturer defect. Perhaps because of the powersphere in the bottom of the club the top of the club doesn't have the proper support? I don't know, but i wouldn't recommend this club. The woods hit well, and are a lot sturdier but I have not used them enough to know for sure. I am hoping overstock will refund me at least for the driver.

I seen the set in an e-mail and decided to try them. Great deal, seemed to hit straighter then my other clubs. Still trying to get used to the driver and that sometimes takes a while.
