My husband drives a cab on weekend evenings and my sons got this for him as a gift...he loved it! He's able to listen to his own music, not the same old tired songs on the radio, and his customers seemed to really enjoy it as well. He's a little technically challenged (he needed a fair amount of guidance with the ipod and the process of downloading songs) but this product is so easy, he just had to plug it in. The only issue he had was that, due to the location of the lighter in his Nissan Pathfinder, the unit needs to be unplugged in order to put it into park. The packaging says it fits Ipod and Ipod Mini, but it adjusts to fit his Video Nano wonderfully. All in all, it's a great product and I'm thankful for the reviews I read, they helped me make the decision to purchase this item and it hasn't disappointed!

The product was easy to use. Static interference only occured around downtown areas, otherwise, the sound quality is great. Biggest complaint, the unit's design did not provide for a longer and flexible stem (the neck of the unit that is plugged into the lighter) This has caused inconveniences when trying to shift gear into and out of park as the unit would get in the way. So, always had to pull out before shifting into park, and plug in only after I had shifted out of park. This problem occured in 3 out of the 4 cars that I had used the unit in. So, recommendation of the unit would depend on the make of car. It did not block the gear in Lexus GS 300, but blocked the gear in Benz E350, Lexus LX470, Infiniti FX350.

IPOD FM Transmitter Do not recomend (JSSchaf, GA, 2008-06-06)

It was difficult to set up, Once I got it set up...it still did not work properly. The plug for the outlet and the transmitter made it nearly impossible to go/fit into any of my three car outlets. The cords required for use are in the way and hanging off the transmitter. When using it with an ipod the quality of sound was terrible (we tried every possible FM frequency). 80% of the music we could not even here because of a "feedback" like sound that overpowered the music. We tried using servel times, asked several people about it and still does not work and do not use it. Do not recomend.

New to all these devices and accessories, I had reservations about getting this device. I was afraid of having a complicated install which might mess up my radio or car. In fact, it really is a plug and play unit. I wouldn't order the white again, but I love the ease of plugging in my iPod, the security of the hold of the device on the iPod and the purity of the sound coming through my car speakers. And, there was no other wires or installation. Love it. By the way, pay no attention to the "free gift." The holder is worth the price with the pen I received.

Excellent value (pblanch, Illinois, 2008-04-05)

I purchased this IPod 3-in-1 charger because we were taking a long road trip. What a great investment. Not only was I able to listen to all my favorite music and podcasts, it also charged my IPod. I was concerned about its inability to hold my IPod securely because of other reviews I read about similar products. It held it perfectly and folded away so conveniently. A family member has an older version that does not hold the IPod firmly and cost a lot more then mine did. I never did figure out what the free gift was though. Super satisfied with this product.
