OK for the price (Bic1002, Highland Village, TX, 2008-07-13)

I've had these bar stools for about 2 yrs now. They were fine for the first 6 months but then the screws at the bottom of the seat and foot rest keep coming loose. We must have tightened, glued and reglued these screws over and over again. Please keep in mind, we don't use these very often, only when we have company over which is about 6-10 times a year. But it must be the way our guests sit that makes these screws come loose. Also, the screws are not very long so that's why we've had to retightened them over and over again. Now, after about 10 times of being glued and reglued, one of four bar stools have finally cracked, literally. The glue is so thick on the bottom of the seat that it no longer will stick to the base. And the foot rest is completely broken. I guess for the price, we've gotten our money's worth. Just keep in mind, long term wise, you might want to consider buying something more stable.

The bar stools came with easy to put together instructions. The quality of the stools impressed me, and they looked so rich in detail!!! The color of the stain was accurate, and the description and photo was just as defined in this product. I ordered two sets, so to have 4 bar swivel stools! They are sturdy enough for adults, and they fit nicely in my home. I would buy again if I needed more bar stools. There was one leg that had the pre-drilled holes in it, and was a little off. This caused one leg to 'wobble'. I did not want to return this, because of postage, and the wobble was minimal, which could be corrected with an additional 'foot' pad, which I have yet to place on it. By the way, the legs all had protective pads under them so not to damage floors. These stools were really quality made!

Faux leather counter stools (Virginiawoman, Virginia, 2008-02-25)

Fabulous stools...Anything similar in a catalog was2 to 3 times the price. I just installed a state of the art kitchen, with really no spare of expense...I purchased these stools because they seemed PERFECT for my needs--I wanted a swivel stool in a wood which blended with my cherry cabinets, and ones which would slide easily under the counter top when not in use and they have a black top ( I have black granite)--these fit the bill...they arrived well packaged and assembly for a female who does not own a toolbox was relatively easy--I did have to go purchase a screwdriver! I like the faux leather because they will be easy to maintain (just wipe them off!). Thanks again overstock. I love this store!

Happy Customer (LSBN, Florida, 2008-02-20)

I ordered four of these stools for my kitchen; they assembled in minutes, look better than in the picture, and are very sturdy. When they first arrived, two of the legs in two different stool packages had defective threading for the screws so I contacted Overstock online and spoke with a representative about the problem. Three days later, new legs arrived and now my stools are just what I wanted. Although I have been an Overstock customer for a long time and have come to expect good value in the products they offer, this was the first time I had a problem with the merchandise. I am happy to report that the problem was handled professionally and quickly with no hassle. Thank you, Overstock!

Bastools have a musty rotten odor (LillyNC, NC, 2008-02-19)

The barstools are gorgeous. Unfortunately when you sit on them a rotten smelly old odor comes out of them. We've tried everything, spraying them with febreeze, leaving them outside on our screened in porch for air, and nothing works. The material the seat is made of smells horrible so much so we cannot keep the stools in the house all day or the stale smell seeps out to the house. If I had known this I would have never purchased them because they are great to look at but you can't sit down on them because of the horrible smell that comes out of the cushion. I am very disappointed.
