Very heavy--not a convenient step stool (CMSB, Burlington, VT, 2008-01-15)

This step stool is handsome but not practical-my first overstock purchase that I regret. I'd like to return it but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the process. The stool is heavy! It's also pretty tall, which is fine, but it's not something you can pull out every time you need something on the top shelf. As a matter of fact, I have used it yet! I suppose if you had it constantly set up in a large room and didn't have to move it much it could work for you.

A solid, and attractive stepstool. Furniture quality, not composite garbage. No wobbles even when on the top step. Notes: I suggest you put felt on the feet so they don't scratch your floor surfaces. A bit hefty if you plan to carry it from one room to another.

Great wood quality, beautiful color, good size, very sturdy. Looks great enough to keep out of your closet. Very functional as well. Spend a little extra to get a stool that looks as good as it functions.

I almost bought a similar stepstool for about $250 and glad I didn't. These steps are very well made, very strong, and wide enough so they won't topple over. And they look great too.
