| Solid wood Corner Desk OK, I learned what MDF is
(TomRN, New Castle Pennsylvania, 2008-01-05) |

| I should have looked up what MDF is when I was reading the description of this desk. The legs and the drawer slide are the real wood parts. The top and almost everything else is made of MDS which is ground up wood and glue. It does have real veneer. The trouble with this product is that that the glue and ground wood (MDF) strips out very easily if the product is stressed even slightly with tightening of screws during assembly. Now I know that solid wood does not mean real wood. Also. the corner leg was drilled for assembly into an obvious knot hole at a critical assembly point. The screw caused the knot to break out of the leg. I didn't want the to have to return it, I knew how to fix the defects, and ended up with with something that I would not have bought if I would have seen it on display. |

| wooden corner desk

| I have put many things together from grills to bicycles. This was far and away the most difficult thing I have done. The glue doesn't hold, the holes don't match up right and the metal bolts are a nightmare. I eventually put it together using elbow grease and "L" brackets I bought at the hardware store, simply because i didn't want the hassle of sending it back. It is still a little wobbly but good enough for what I need it for. I will have to use liquid nails to keep it solid. It took me well over 10 hours to get this thing in working condition and I am still not finished. Buy something already assembled and save yourself the trouble! |

| as was well... except,

| altogether I am very happy with this product, especially for the money spent. It fits nicely in the corner and the cherry color is very nice as well. It took me a little over a hour to assemble. Keep in mind I have NEVER asembled furniture before. Shipping was quick. Only downfall is one of the most fragile pieces was packed on the out side of all the heavy peices. and, you guessed it. it came out of the box with a nice crack down the center and chipping. Its the runner peice that holds the draw in. I didn't want the hassel of returning it so my draw wobbles a lil. all in all i'm happy though |

| Much Better Than Expected

| After reading other reviews, I didn't expect the desk to be more than what I paid for. I was wrong! It took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to easily assemble, not a flaw on any piece, every part fit perfectly and it looks great! We had been looking for a small corner desk for some time. I am so happy I searched Overstock.com. The same product elsewhere was about $100.00 more. What a savings! For anyone looking for a small corner desk, I highly recommend this one. By the way, my wife is very selective and she loved it! Thanks Overstock! |

| Good Desk
(KristinainWaco, Waco, TX, 2008-03-10) |

| The price I pad for this desk was very good. Once it assembles, it is a very fine little corner desk. I bought it to fit into a small bedroom and it works perfectly. It was pain to assemble and I warn that you must pay very careful attention to the directions or else you will mess up. It also takes a while to assemble. There are parts that must be glued and you must allow them time to set. I assembled the desk in the evenings after work and it took the better part 4 evenings to get it completey done. |
