Batik is a fabric art in which a mixture of melted wax is painted by hand onto areas where color is not desired. When the fabric is crumpled into the dying solution, the wax cracks, creating an attractive network of fine lines. The wax is removed and the process is repeated for each color utilized.

Nyoman Nadri is an artisan of bed covers, pillowcases, sarongs, shawls, and many other textile arts. She started her career in embroidery in 1987, taking orders to make pillowcases and bags from 1989 until 1992. In 1995, she turned to batik when she learned it from a friend.

This is a really good looking robe. It's beautiful and sexy and I am very happy with it. However, it is a little big for me (I'm 5'2") and I have to adjust the tie often when I wear it because it's too low and falls below my waist.
