Amazing curtains at an amazing price (LisaLuanna, Boulder, CO, 2008-06-24)

I ordered the Oyster panels, got them today and they were the exact color I was expecting (I had read a previous review on this site about the darker color than shown in the product page). The material is nice and heavy, quality is really good - I would know; my mom is a professional seamstress so I know what to look for - and they really help make my living room look more put-together. I ordered 2 sets of this, (4 panels total) but it turns out that I only need 1 set. My window is about 65" wide and technically I could have used the second set (2-3x window's width, I think is recommended), but since they are so heavy and luxurious, adding another set would have been overkill. I do have a set of sheer curtains behind the Wellington ones, so it creates a very nice layered look The only thing is that I think I may have to iron these panels out; they do look a little wrinkled and do not fall as gracefully to the floor as I think they could. FYI: each curtain panel at this width (96") takes about 10 curtain clips.

Wellington Draperies (Lilygardener, , 2008-03-30)

I bought this size in conjunction with two other sizes (all windows in the same room). However these panels must have been returned to Overstock before I got them as they were the last ones in the taupe color for this size. One panel had a couple of 1 1/2 - 2 inch slashes in the center with five or six 1/2 inch smaller cuts beneath. It looks like whoever received them before me opened the package with scissors or a knife damaging the one panel. I phoned Overstock and the customer service rep was willing to credit me the full amount. I have been checking back for this item to be restocked but in the meantime I did purchase some thread and will attempt to mend. The slashes will not be noticeable during the day only at night when the draperies are closed. I like them so much on the other windows I did not want to return the damaged ones unless I could have them replaced. They are well made. Lined nicely and have a subtle damask pattern which is not overbearing. The taupe is neutral enough for many color schemes.

Wellington 96" Oyster drapes (Kayn, Southern Nevada, 2008-01-27)

Overall these drapes are a great buy. They are thermal lined, home pressable, and home washable with care. The manufacturing is consistent so you do not end up with one drape longer than another one. I hung them on a ring rod but instead of using the clips, I used 4" prong drapery hooks with a ring that I removed the clips and could use the small hanging piece that held the clips by putting the hook through the small hole. This makes the drapes hang straighter than clips or short pin in hooks. I could not get a silver traverse rod that I wanted. I got a silver rod in the ring style for a lot less money. I rated the appearance as a 4 only because the OYSTER color did not take on as much silver appearance as I thought it would. I know color is a hard thing to evaluate via computer. All in all, I feel I made a very good purchase. I am well satisfied with the thermal effectiveness keeping out the cold and heat, as well as the sun off my carpet. The brocade effect adds a very elegant look to the room.

FANTASTIC BARGAIN!!!! (RNMS, Sacramento, CA, 2008-05-06)

These curtains are very well made and the quality of the fabric exceeds expectations. It is impossible to find a pair of curtains of this quality at this price. If you are lucky, you may find ONE panel on a sale or clearance at the price, not a pair. The lining is a good weight and the curtains themselves are a good weight. They hang beautifully. I was very, very impressed and pleased with this product. The only thing I would be cautious of is the oyster color on the website. It appears lighter than than the actual curtains. I would describe them more as a frosted bronze, I was expecting a much lighter oyster color as depicted on the website swatch. The color of the actual oyster curtains is much darker than the fabric swatch. It is actually a few shades deeper than the gold fabric swatch on the color options sample. Fortunately, they go with the room we repainted and I was pleased with the overall look when we hung them.

What a bargain! (nmargaret, Costa Mesa , CA, 2008-02-18)

I have an unsually large window configuration in my family room. The total window size is 180" (15') wide by 84" long. Because this window also has a sliding glass patio door on the left side instead of the middle , I needed a window covering that could be easily drawn away from the door. I also needed something that would keep the cold out in the winter and the heat in the summer! Since I am currently unemployed, my budget would not allow for vertical blinds($1000+), and pinch pleated drapes this size need to be custom made and run about $500! I was very happy to find the Wellington Drapes and ordered 2 - 96" pairs. My total cost was under $90.00. That was fantastic for me, but what is even more fantastic is the quality of the drapes. They are beautiful and the color more rich than pictured on the website. I intend to purchase another pair for my front room ! I hightly recommend these drapes!
