Sleek with Excellent Clarity (3KellyGirls, Arlington, VA, 2008-10-11)
 
I purchased this phone after researching numerous consumer reports and reading the reviews here. This set has the BEST sound quality of any cordless I've owned and cell phone-like functionality. Some reviews mention the short battery life and worst echoing they've heard. I have not experienced either problem. I did initially notice an echo when I had my cell phone speaker on and was testing the clarity, however that was a feedback echo and in no way related to the performance of the phone. A few features are lacking such as pick up answering (must press the talk button) and using the phone while on the charger base. However, I have numerous electronics in the space surrounding the phone (computer, DVD, Stereo, TV monitor, wireless modems, etc) and the lack of any interference/static and the clarity of sound overcomes these minor inconveniences. Having the extra handset works well for a room where no jack exists and the slim design fits small tables. Shipping, as always, was quick and the shipping price phenominal. ANOTHER great Overstock experience.

Horrible delay in audio transmission (Nicho1ab, Champaign, IL, 2008-06-11)
 
This is a cool looking phone without a doubt. However, that's where the quality stops and the problems begin. The worst problem is that when you are on the phone there is a noticeable delay in audio transmission. If you are familiar with the delay that you experience when speaking on a satellite phone, it is like that, but less severe. It makes conversations very difficult and we have since switched back to our 5 year old pair of Uniden cordless phones. Unless you are just looking for some pretty blue ambient lighting, skip this product. If I had been given it for free I still would not use it or recommend it. It is truly that bad.

I threw out two cordless phones that had so much interference from nearby WiFi routers that I could barely hear most conversations. My sister had vTech phones in her house and the sound quality was so good that I thought I'd try them myself. They do not disappoint! These sound as clear as corded phones and they're very easy to use. I was able to add numbers to the phone book without reading the directions.

Poor Quality all around (mrmetal, Central Florida, 2008-07-07)
 
This phone at first I thought "WOW!", But then I was shocked.. The worst battery quality of any phone I have ever had, The company says let go dead and recharge, Still the same performance, It says days of stand by, it will hardly last a good hour, let alone hours... The other thing about this phone is that it's range is not all that it claims to be. Better bet putting your hard earned money else where.

The item I purchased, is not at all what I expected, the battery on one phone does'nt even work properly leaving me only able to utilize one of the phones, I suspect I need to purchase a new battery for the phone that I can't use for more than five minutes, so the rating for this item is overall a one star, and also I don't believe I will purchase anything else from overstock due to this purchase.
