Daring Book for Girls (stylo, Oakland, CA, 2008-01-07)

I was happy to get this at a discount, since I already knew I wanted to buy it. It made a nice gift, but I got to read it myself after I gave it, and noticed that several pages were defective (had holes in them), which is why it was discounted, I suppose. They weren't bad enough to send it back, although they would have been, had I paid full price. Maybe I won't buy books from here. The CD and DVD I ordered were good, though.

Really cool book! (Angl, Los Angeles, CA, 2008-01-05)

I saw these books in a store and thought they were a great idea to buy for my nieces. They have so much information about so many different things in it. Very interesting! My boyfriend saw how intrigued I was and decided to buy one for me as a gift....so thoughtful! I would recommend this for kids of all ages, teenagers, and adults that want to learn what they missed growing up! You can never know, or learn too much, right?? ;)

This was purchased with The Dangerous Book for Boys. This book has some great information and ideas, but missed a few of the "girl things" we did. Maybe it is a regional thing. Overall, though, it is a great tool for teaching your daughter or granddaughter about some of those childhood activities we enjoyed. Wish I could still jump rope and play jacks!

What a great book (merrymelinda, , 2008-01-08)

I had heard of the "male version" of this book, but was not aware that there was one for girls. I saw this and decided to purchase it for my daughter for Christmas. When I received it, I thumbed through it and was just tickled with all the fun stuff that was included. This is such a great book to have around for the girls in your life!

No more sugar and spice (sunriseseeker, Napa Valley, CA, 2008-01-15)

This book was a gift for a young cousin, I got her brother the Dangerous Book for Boys as well. These books are an amazing addition to any child's bookshelf, I love that they're focused on the things children knew for generations, long before the computer and videogame era. Its nice to know the kids will get unplugged for a bit.
