Stretches and tucks around odd areas (gingerbookgoddess, Champaign, IL, 2008-02-06)

I have a sofa bed from the 50's, and it needs to be reupholstered, but it has excellent bones, so to speak. I might not get around to reupholstering it for a few months yet, and I wanted something to cover the fabric and make it more visually appealing in the meantime. Because the sofa has arms that are different (partially upholstery and then wooden) I suspected that it would be difficult to fit with a traditional slip cover, considering that I generally find the fit of most slip covers to be sloppy. I'm lazy! I hate to iron things like slipcovers to fuss around with stuff. I also needed a slipcover that was washable since I have a large dog that like to sleep on the furniture--and she drools in her sleep. The slipcover works out well. The stretch makes it easy to tuck it in where I need to and to stretch it out a little bit in another area to look nice over the arms. It was really easy to put on, and its comfortable and looks nice! At this rate, I'm tempted to get more to help with some newer furniture that is undergoing sun fading and heavy use.

Stretch sofa slipcover (sofacovered, DFW, TX, 2008-05-17)

It's great for the most part. Quality is good; color is rich; soft to the touch. It serves my purpose to protect our new sofas from every day use. I bought one red and one gold to match our sofas. When company comes, I pull the covers off. The four rating is because the cover pulls out from behind the sofa cushions after sitting and getting up. It's easy to stuff it all back in, but I really get tired of doing it so often to keep it neat. I have tried the Tuck-once plastic bars, but they just come out along with the fabric. I do like the stretch because it fits tight and looks neat until after we sit and wallow on them! (They're in the den.) If you can tolerate that little problem, you'll enjoy them. I really wanted a two piece stretch cover (a seperate cover for seat cushions), but I couldn't find one in the colors I needed. I've even tried the duck cloth covers, but the stretch fits and looks better overall. Hope this helps!

Pretty nice but too big for my sofa (Uglysofa, Minnesota, 2008-02-18)

This slipcover is a nice soft fabric, goes on easily, and the dark green print on my sofa does not show through (I ordered the "sand" color). However, it's too big for my sofa, which is 83" long and 31" high. The rolled arms are 7.5" wide (at the widest point) and the slipcover's arms are much too big. I had to do some creative tucking & folding. The body of the slipcover also seems too wide, but I can tuck it into the creases and behind the cushions to mask this. Also, there is a wide elastic band streching around the bottom that I looks strange; I can't find a way to hide it. The slipcover usually requires some re-tucking after I sit on the sofa, but it's very easy -- it's about as much work as straightening the pillows. Once I put pillows and a throw on the sofa, and a coffee table in front of it, the flaws and extra tucks are not noticeable.

overall satisified except... (yd0000000, allen TX, 2008-01-05)

i've had this item for about 3-4 weeks. its a good fit. stays put much better than my last one. the only downfall is that i have pets and fur pretty much clings to it. it may depend on the type of pet you have... i have 4, and the fur i have issue with is from only one of my dogs. i've just set a blanket ontop of the space he lays on. also... not sure that this material is a good fit for a leather couch b/c its slides around *a little*. i think the next time i wash it i won't use fabric softener to see if that helps reduce it. when we first received the item (i didnt wash it) and i didnt have the sliding problem. but overall, im satisfied with the product. i have to re-tuck it once and a while... but not as much as i used to with my previous cover. thinking about getting another one for our 2nd couch.

first one that actually fit! (ski55, Buffalo, NY, 2008-01-05)

I've tried 3 different slipcovers in the past 6 months alone. None worked. I measured correctly, and chose appropriate fabrics, colors etc. according to my families needs. Nothing looked good, nor did they fit right! I almost didn't want to try again, but I just couldn't put those annoying sheets back on my couches again! So, I tried these for both the loveseat and sofa and they fit great. My husband, actually noticed them right away, and couldn't stop talking about how nice they looked for days after we first got them. They do attract lint, but so did the other covers I've had. But the ease of assembly, and the washability along with the fit requires two thumbs up from me!
