Sure Fit is an Old Friend in My House (MusicCritic, Massapequa, New York, 2008-07-03)

July 3, 2008 I am retired from a government installation where many years ago a guy whose family owned a local furniture store sent me there where the I purchased a very appealing and comfortable adjustable recliner that was perfectly suited for my news watching in the family room. Over the ensuing years just like anything else, the chair began the usual descent into tears and discoloration. I had planned to put it on the curb when amidst surfing the web I came across Overstock.Com featuribg Sure Fit furniture covers. After much research I purchased a Sure Fit Pearson Stretch cover for a recliner featuring a wooden handle on the right side. The Sure Fit cover provides the homeowner with the flexibility and cost savings versus hiring a service to attend to these matters. I followed the directions for placement and within a few minutes I virtuallly had a new chair. The slipcover material is machine washable and unimaginably indestructable. The material appears to be thin but believe me, we have young folks, animals and alot of commotion in my family, ie. spills and tears to everything. With all the hoopla, the Sure Fit method has saved me a ton of money without compromising quality and appearance. The Overstock price, as usual was discounted and delivery was inexpensive and swift. How to Slipcover a Duel Recliner Couch (euridice, Seattle, 2008-05-02)

Like a lot of people I have an older couch with recliners on each end. It was beginning to look a bit shabby and I want to get a slipcover, but I couldn't find anyone who sold a slipcover for a recliner couch. While reading product reviews I noticed that most slip covers for recliners come in 4 parts. Right and left arms, seat & foot rest and back. Realizing my couch was basically 3 recliners I purchased 3 recliner slipcovers. It worked out perfectly and I have a couple extra arm pieces, which is just fine by me and my cats. The slip covers themselves, matched the description very closely. The color was dead on. It took me about 15 minutes to put on the first set, after that it got much easier. My only suggestion to the manufacturer, I know that the licra/cotton blend makes it easier to initially cover the recliner and make it fit more recliners but, I would like it if it were a little more stiff. It might take longer to put on, but it would hold it's shape better. After a couple weeks the areas that get the most action have a few big wrinkles. But this is a minor quibble. Over all I am very happy with the product.

Pleased with my purchase (sharonru, Boca Raton, FL, 2008-05-07)

Bought this cover to minimize wear and tear on my recliner, which is a very light taupe color. Call me stupid for buying that color, but I live in South Florida-dark colors just aren't appropriate here. Now I don't feel guilty if I sit in the chair wearing shorts and putting my bare feet all over the chair. The color (flax) is exactly what I wanted, and that color was impossible to find-until I searched on Overstock. The four pieces were very easy to install, and everything tucks in very nicely. One armpiece even has a large pocket for the remote, newspaper, etc. Have not washed it yet, but I don't anticipate any problems-the fabric seems quite substantial. Would recommend this cover as an inexpensive, attractive way to protect and extend the life of your furniture. You can always pull the covers off in seconds if you have guests coming!

Not perfect but still a good deal (MLB108, Canton, GA, 2008-06-30)

We bought this slipcover to give new life to an older recliner. The only problem is that the slipcover is designed for a new recliner so it does not fit as well as it could on our older La-Z-Boy. It requires continuous re-tucking and I will probably end up doing some pinning to keep it in place. The same will have to be done on the back of the chair, as there is a lot of excess fabric that has nowhere to go. The color is a perfect shade of red, though--it looks more red than the online picture. My only other complaint is that the material picks up lint very easily. Overall, though, it's worth it to have a better looking chair in our living room.

recliner slip cover (noelxxx, KY, 2008-07-18)

I purchased two slip covers at the same time. One worked out great, the other not so good. One recliner had a pull off seat cushion. The slip cover worked well with this one. The other recliner had a stationary seat and the slip cover just hasn't fit right and is difficult to work with. The quality and price of the slip covers were great and transport to me was wonderful.
