sofa cover (MiauxCat, Florida, 2008-02-18)

I like the cover, we got it in brown. Unfortunately, the back of our couch doesn't have any cushioning (they used these huge, ugly pillows as the back cushioning) so the cover doesn't sit right. We might pad it later with something, but as for now, it doesn't really fit right, and it bunches in the corners. But that's my couch, not the product. I have cats, that love to sit on the arms of couches, and I have to tell you that while this thing picks up hair just as bad as anything else out there, it really doesn't hold it that badly. It was pretty easy to clean it off. And the whole thing can go in the washer, too. It's got these little straps at the corners that you can tie into a bow or something, to help pull the thing into more of a shape, and I really like that, it made it look a little more finished. We were going to go with the one on this site that has a separate part for your cushions (the two-piece model) but it wouldn't fit our couch. This one fits our behemoth of a couch pretty well, minus that backside issue. We just put a pretty blanket over the back and you can't really tell it's all bunchy there. And the color is very nice, it's deep and rich and you can easily match it to many different colors in your house. I'd recommend this to someone.

SureFit a sure fit! (Mikkig, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 2008-08-28)

The SureFit brand was recommended to me by my mother for a slipcover for my new couch. I have a black lab who seems to love to drool, hence why I decided to purchase a slip cover. I had checked other online shopping websites, and OverStock.com had the best price for what I wanted, as well as exactly what I wanted. I ordered the suede feel slip cover in Chocolate. The color is deep and rich, and the fabric is very soft. One thing I noticed is that there was plenty of material to cover the entire couch without any stretching required. The layout of the slip cover makes it very easy to place on any couch. There are tie by both the arms which when tied, make the slip cover very classy. The slip cover is machine washable and dryable. I washed and dried the slip cover before placing it on the sofa and there was no shrinking or fading of the material. I am very happy with this purchase and am pleased I was able to get such a high quality product for less than sale prices - the price on Overstock.com was even less then the clearance items on SureFit’s website!

1st time I'm unhappy w/purchase (elombard, Boston, MA, 2008-07-11)

This purchase is the first time that I have ever been disappointed with an item from Overstock. Even though I'm unhappy with this purchase, I will not return it, I am going to keep it and use it until I purchase a new couch, sometime after January. Please let me explain. The material is very good, the color is just right and the stitching is quality work but the slipcover is ridiculously difficult to correctly fit. I mean, how hard can it be? But it is. My daughter and I tried and tried to get it to fit nicely and to line the seams up correctly. We repeatedly looked at the simple instruction sheet, but the slipcover remained lousy-looking, I could get the same affect with a bed sheet, maybe my couch is the wrong shape but I saw no such specification. . It will require CONSTANT adjustments, even when the dog lies on it. (sigh) It fits nothing like the photo, my couch cushions are the type that cannot be removed, I'm sure if the cushions could be removed and then placed back on top, this would be a better, snugger fit. Sorry,

slipcover (Peg6t4, Pasadena, MD, 2008-05-30)

The fabric is soft, it has a nice drape and feel. I tossed it in the dryer for about half an hour to get rid of the wrinkles from packaging, and it came out great. I have used this type of slipcover before, so putting it on the sofa wasn't hard for me. If you've never used one, you might find it frustrating. Tip: ease of putting it on depends largely on the style of your sofa. I find that it is so much easier if the sofa doesn't have loose back cushions, and has one solid seat cushion. Multi cushions are very hard to do right. The only thing that I was not too fond of was the color: it looks more pale blue in the picture, and is actually a light blue-gray. That's the only reason I did not give it 5 stars for appearance. Anyway, my old, out-dated sofa looks so much more contemporary, and I am pleased with everything about the purchase.

Made my cheapo couch look brand spankin' sparkly! (sillygirl327, Chino Hills, CA, 2008-01-10)

Wow, I've got to say I'm quite impressed with this slip cover. I had tried other ones on this site, but I didn't like the color or the material. I got the beige color and after ironing it out, it looks perfect on my couch. It reminds me of a $1,000 couch that my sister recently purchased. The material is soft to touch and it does not look cheap (one of my main concerns). I'm extremely picky on whether things look like its cheap material, but this looks sort of like suede/velvet. The result :flawless and for the price... it is right on!! The fit only took about 10 minutes and the ties on the side are easy to assemble to the contours of your couch. My advice: put the slip cover on the couch first, then iron it!! It's a lot more time saving than ironing it on the board. My couch is no longer a sight for sore eyes.
