a complete look (knell3, Victorville, Ca, 2008-06-12)

I looked and looked and read reviews for weeks before I jumped in and purchased this item myself. I was very happy to receive my order in less than a week and was anxious to get it onto my furniture. All the reviews are so correct---wrinkles, wrinkles and more wrinkles, but hey that is to be expected. I followed the advice of many of the reviewers and tossed it in the dryer with a couple of damp towels--this method didn't work for me. The slip cover became all twisted up and was even more wrinkled when I removed it from the dryer. I took the time to iron it and that was better for the look I wanted. I spritzed it with water and then ironed it with a dry iron so as not to get any kind of "spitting" from using the steam iron in case I needed to return it. I am so very grateful that this slip cover is large enough to cover the entire back and sides of my sofa! The two piece design gives it a more finished look, and the cushion cover easily fits my three cushions. The quality of the fabric is great. It is of nice heavy construction and the cushion covers and the arms all have the rope edging. The reality is that a slip cover is just that a slip cover so if you are hoping to have it look like a brand new piece of furniture it won't but it sure does look very nice. My famiy room now has uniformity and everything looks fresh. I ordered the "flax" color and it is very light but I accented it with contrasting pillows and a throw. You can't go wrong for less than $100. Go for it.

Fabulous unless you have pet (ridoc, Rhode Island, 2008-03-27)

This is a great slipcover. My kids came to visit and, even though they grew up with the old, torn couch in our family room, they didn't recognize it and thought we had purchased a new couch. The separate cushion cover makes all the difference. The slipcover seems to have two main downsides. First, as others have said, it is very wrinkled out of the package. We've already had to wash it once, and that took care of the wrinkles. Second, it attracts pet hair like a magnet. If you have a shedding pet, especially one with a contrasting hair color, you might consider this a deal-breaker. I am basically vacuuming or brushing the hair off every day or two.

A Perfect Fit -No More Tucking! (Yeatha, New York, NY, 2008-02-16)

I have had so many sofa slipcovers and I am so glad that I do not have to tuck anything in anymore. This is the new wave of slipcovers. I needed an alternative in purchasing a sofa, so I found the perfect slipcover. I feel like I've just purchased a new sofa. When I received my Two-Piece Supreme Twill Washable Sofa Slipcover I was so excited. I immediately put it in the dryer with a wet towel to help soften up the wrinkles. The slipcover fit my sofa perfectly as well as the pillow cover. Love it, Love it. This is why I gave it 5 stars. This is what I have been waiting for for quite some time. Thank you Overstock!

A lot of wrinkles (MerciGB, PA, 2008-02-08)

When I took the slipcovers out of the package they were very wrinkled. It took me over an hour to iron both the love seat and sofa covers. The love seat cover fit nicely, but the sofa cover is not a tight enough fit, that is a bit disappointment. The feel of the material is very nice and it was not very hard to place on the furniture. I think the covers are well constructed. My sofa and love seat are going in the rec. room so for that purpose I am ok with the appearance of the covers. I would not be happy if the furniture were to stay in my livingroom.

Good Value for what I was looking for (rhagan62, Nashville, TN, 2008-06-24)

I have a new leather sofa and a large German Shepherd and Cat who think they are supposed to be on the sofa as well, so this is perfect for protecting my sofa, and still looks nice as well. I did a lot of price comparing and this product was reasonably priced, seems to wear well, and very easy to put on the sofa. My sofa is oversized so the fit is off just a little, but I adjusted it so that it rides a little higher in the back where it is not seen, and now the front is completely covered. A really good product.
