The Basilica II features a classic three-hand movement with a quick-set date complication powered by a premium Swiss quartz engine. And while the overall look of the Basilica II is eminent, its most dramatic aspect is the unique cathedral-style crystal as the majestic basilica churches of the Roman Empire. Made of Krysterna for strength and durability, this one-of-kind crystal is domed and custom cut with half-moon facets that give the appearance of side arches like that of an ancient cathedral.

Beautiful tank watch (Marie500, Los Angeles, CA, 2008-08-22)

I was looking for a tank style watch and this one fit the bill. yes, it is large but not 'OVERSIZED' as one of the other reviewers complained about unless you are a petite person. It's an average sized unisex watch that is popular right now. I have it for 6 months and it still looks great. It's pretty water resistant as I've had water splash on it. The face is not scratch yet even though I am rough with it but sometimes it gets foggy from fingerprints so you have to clean it periodically. The watch band will likely wear out way before the face piece. If you are looking for an expensive looking tank style watch, this fits the bill. I get tons of compliments on it and wear it everyday. I am a watch collector and i have several expensive watches (Cartier, tag, rolex, movado), but I always prefer this watch for everday and even sometimes special occassion as it fits right in. If you want to make it look more feminine than I suggest you switch bands like one of the other reviewers did.

I returned this watch. When I got it I was surprised by the item's size and weight. It is larger, thicker, and heavier than my husband's wrist watch and his is a big, chunky man's outdoor-type watch. The watch, as pictured on Overstock, has an attractive look and the features I wanted. Had there been a ruler in one of the pictures or coin or some other point of reference, I'd not have ordered it. I didn't want a small or delicate timepiece but neither did I want one that was over-sized . Bottom line - Don't order this item unless you are looking for something that has a bit of a cartoon-ish, over-sized style.

No Regrets (Catcare, Novi, MI, 2008-05-20)

This watch arrived in a carefully packaged, lined box that is a keeper just by itself. Papers and a warranty were included. The watch is nicer than I imagined it would be, and it has received compliments from others. Being water resistant makes it a plus because I know it will stand up under hand washing and housecleaning. The band is too big for my wrist, and I'll have to punch another hole in the strap to tighten it, but that's no problem.

unisex watch body, masculine watch band (digerati, Brookfield, WI, 2008-03-09)

This watch is listed as a gentlemen's watch on the Stuhrling web site but as a women's watch on overstock.com. The watch itself is quite large, which I like, but the band is definitely styled for a man. I loved the watch itself but did not like the look of the band at all. I replaced the band with a tapered 20mm band and it looks like a whole new watch. It's a keeper.

I love this watch (Vanshop, New York, 2008-01-19)

When I opened the package and saw that beautiful orange box I knew what was inside was going to also be as beautiful. It is more beautiful than seeing it on the website. Yes, it is big but I love love love it. Every part of this watch is great, and it even came with a cleaming cloth. I so happy I bought it.
