GORGEOUS Marcasite Ring!! (victorianroses, Springfield, Mo, 2008-07-24)
 
I was looking for a new marcasite ring that I would absolutely love. I found it!! The online picture of this ring really does not do it justice, although it looks pretty online. It is GORGEOUS in person!! Even prettier than the picture looks!! Its not a greenish like the picture appears, the marcasites are a beautiful greyish black. (which is actually how marcasite is SUPPOSE to look. I noticed another review on here where someone said they didn't care for the ring because the stones look more black in person. But, that is actually the point of marcasite, its known as the "black diamond". :) ). Its absolutely beautiful. I love the flowy flowery look of it, the petals are beautiful, the marcasite is beautiful, the silver is beautiful, I love how it glistens. Its the perfect marcasite ring if you are looking for one that is victorian and vintage antique looking, yet very delicate & elegant. I LOVE IT!!

Floral Pearl Ring (Principesssa, Florida, 2008-01-24)
 
I really was after the entirely metal flower ring and ended up with this one. Which is a good thing since after receiving this one I'm not sure I would have liked the other one....anyway, I'm on the border with this ring. I like the flower design and the center pearls, however I didn't realize the gems on the "petals" were that specific kind of gem. I had a locket as a teenager that I absolutely loved--my grandmother had bought it for my birthday-- that contained those gems, and they started disappearing. They would chip off/ fall off/ who knows what, so I'd be interested in how this ring holds up to whatever abuse I subject it to. other then that, it isn't to large, kind of dainty ( in the sense that it's a flower that is perched on your finger), and subtle enough that won't attract attention that bling will but will make a statement anyway. ~Principessa

This ring looks like I spent a load of money on it, yet it was such a great buy!!! It took almost a week to arrive because they send it via the mail. I, however, am sooo glad I ordered it!! I ordered a size 7 and it fits my middle finger on my rt hand. I think it runs big because I thought that finger was closer to an 8. Get one for yourself and then maybe a few more for gifts...all your friends will want one once they see yours!!!!! Like i said...it looks like a $250 ring at least!

Sterling Silver, marcasite and pearl Ring (ellowen, VA, 2008-01-05)
 
This ring is quite adorable. Especially since I have the bracelet, that my husband bought me several years ago at an antique show. Now I have the ring and have a set. I didn't think I would ever find a Ring to match. My daughters are already requesting to borrow the ring. And the bracelet. I would have bought this ring regardless as I happen to like jewellry. Honestly, we all are delighted with this beautiful and quites dainty ring, of a past era. Sincerely, ellowen

For me, the ring wasn't all it was cracked up to be. The coloring in the picture online was different compared to the real ring, making me feel I didn't get what I wanted. Also, after a few weeks of wearing it, the coating on the "pearls" chipped off leaving it looking like white pellets instead of pearls in places. It didn't turn out to be such a bad purchase though, because even though I didn't like it a friend did, so now she has a ring she enjoys.
