I bought this boombox for my niece birthday because the one she had was on its last leg. She loves the new boombox. The sound is great for a portable radio its size. The controls are not complicated and easy to use. I was concerned about it being recertified so I added a two-year extended warranty plan just in case. You can't beat the price even with the extended warranty plan.

This player is more quiet running than most and is very easy to use. The price is so reasonable that I got two: one for my husband and one for me so we don't fight over just one. My husband and I love it. The quality of the sound is very good. While taping cassettes there is no scratching noises or sound fading or pulling of the tape. It is a much classier player than most.

This player is perfect to use in my classroom. The sound quality is superb and it is easy for my fourth graders to operate and change from books on tape to books on CD. I especially like the fact that I can still use my outdated teaching cassettes and have the quality sound that I need in my listening center.

Good value for the money (hooperdog, Lancaster, NY, 2008-06-17)
 
I was looking for a inexpensive but reliable boom box for my office. This is small enough to fit on a bookshelf and the quality of sound has not been hampered. I have been very pleased with the performance of all the features. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a reliable boombox.

Nice compact little machine. I wanted a portable system that did not have to be attached to my ears and this works out nicely.
