How to play:

The object of the game is to get the lowest score for your round. There are numbers 1 through 12 on the board. If an 8 is rolled then the number can be shut off on the board or any numbers that add up to 8 such as a 6 and a 2 or a 5 and a 3. The round ends when a person rolls a number that cannot be taken of the board. If the person has a 11 and a 9 left then their score is 20. If that turns out to be the lowest score after everyone has taken their turn then that person is the winner.

I had one of the shut-the-box games that I had purchased in the local area. My great-grandchildren were here for the Thanksgiving holiday and they really enjoyed playing with the game. That is when I purchased the one from your website and had it delivered to their home in Converse, TX. They were thrilled to receive the game and are enjoying it every day now.

I went to a medieval day and they were selling that kinf of games there for 40.00. I did not get one at the time because I found it too expensive. This one is solid and of good quality. Hours of fun are on the way with this one! Definitely recommend it.

Shut the Box Dice Shadow Box Game (Grandpatom, Worcester, MA, 2008-01-08)

I discovered the game while at historic Williamburg, VA. We have played the game with people from 89 years young to 7 years old; all enjoyed the game. I have had several relatives order from 1 to 5 games for Christmas. I purchased 3 from Overstock.com.

Excellent game. Great way to review math skills in all ages without them being aware of it. Quick and easy to play. I got this game for my math classroom.
