Pick something else (Inthedust, Mystic, CT, 2008-02-18)

I purchased this vacuum a few months ago and had immediate problems with the hepa filter warning light coming on within 5 minutes of vacuuming. I emptied the filter every time the light came on and cleaned the filter as directed (run through sink, dry overnight etc.). I attributed my problems to the fact that I hadn't had a hepa filter on my previous vacuum and therefore had a LOT of dust & fine particles to vacuum up. That theory went down the drain after losing my endless battle with this little, delicate vacuum. I tried to purchase new filters at our local vacuum dealer and was told that I would have to order directly from Shark. The machine just doesn't have the power I need with two cats, a dog and a lot of inside / outside traffic / wood stove etc. It would probably be good for someone with a very small place & lots of dust filters running. I was very disappointed but too lazy to return it so it's now a memorial in my back room. I'd go for a more durable machine next time. Right now I'm using my old upright vacuum which is probably over 25 years old.

Does not work (lindyhon, NJ, 2008-02-17)

I bought the Vacuum Shark a couple of weeks ago. I plugged in the Vacuum, but unfortunatly it only worked for approx 5 minutes and stopped working, NO Recommendations from me. I have had no trouble with any other Appliances from Overstock.I would like to know how I can send back this purchase with out me having to pay shipping costs back to the Vender.

I thought I was doing the right thing in getting a bagless vacuum. Boy was I wrong. I have to stop vacuuming constantly cause the light is on that the cup is full. Its aggravating. The worst $70 I have ever spent.
