Good value for the $, but... (jenmopo, Colorado, 2008-06-05)

They are a very full pillow, so if you like a flatter pillow, these might not be be for you. After reading the reviews, I got the firm and after my first night of sleeping on them, I wished I had got the medium firmness, as my head sat too high on them and I got a stiff neck. HOWEVER, after several weeks of sleeping on them, I noticed that they are starting to flatten a little bit and mold into a depth and feel that I am enjoying much more. So, I'm thinking if I would have gotten the medium firmness, they might have squshed down too much, so I am now happy I got the firm. For the $, thease are a great deal. That said, be aware that there is a break-in period where you may find these pillows uncomfortable....but, they do get better with use. I wish I could have real down pillows, but allergies prohibit it. These don't feel like REAL down, but they are better than any regular pillows and do give you the illusion of sleeping on down. I have tried other down-like pillows that feel terrible and lumpy, so in comparison, these are much better feeling. The construction quality of these is very decent for the price and I love that I can wash them and have done so once and they came out in great shape. Overall, I would buy these again. I would be curious to know what the medium firmness feel like, but I think the firm are going to work out just fine for me. I'm happy with this purchase.

very comfortable pillows, improve sleep quality (WilliamBmath, Chatham, IL, 2008-04-02)

Several weeks ago, I noticed that my wife's pillow had become quite flat and only provided support when double over. Every time she changed positions during the night, she would have to rearrange and wad up her pillow. I purchased the Premier Down-like Pillows with hopes that they would be firm and not require all the effort if my wife were to change positions during the night. The new pillows have been an absolute godsend! They are excellent in every way and provide wonderful support to sleep soundly without waking to arrange the pillow at every turn. My wife is no waking much more refreshed and showing a great deal more energy as she faces each day. It is also important to mention that my wife is plagued with asthma and a plethora of allergies. It is absolutely wonderful to get pillows with the feel of down filling, without the serious reactions she would have to real down. We are both elated at the new situation that is absolutely attributable to our new Premier Down-like Pillows. I believe it is also important to include that my merchandise arrived in excellent condition just a few days after I placed my order. Everything about your point very well.

Incredible... (xnavygrrl1974, Leavenworth, Kansas, 2008-03-23)

I got my pillows in the mail yesterday. I put a case on my pillow and went to sleep. This is the first time in YEARS I woke up with my head still on the pillow. Usually, I migrate down until the only thing on the pillow is my arm. I have used many more expensive pillows but I always have the same issue and it's that after a while..a pillow gets to be uncomfortable. These pillows (we ordered the soft) cradle the head softly and don't lose their shape. When I got up this morning the pillow fluffed right back up! They are soft and incredibly comfortable to sleep on. You wouldn't even know they weren't down. When I first laid my head down I heard this plastic like sound but afterwards, nothing and I drifted off into a blissful sleep. I woke up feeling refreshed with no neck pain. I am going to order more..and probably some as gifts also. What's more wonderful than giving a loved one a great night of sleep on a comfy pillow? You won't be sorry for buying these.

If you've never had down, don't start with these! (SamanthaLM, Indianapolis, 2008-01-16)

I have never had a down pillow but I was intrigued by all the glowing reviews. I ordered four in medium and received them today. I tried out one for an afternoon nap, and woke up with a headache and sore shoulders. The loft of the pillow seems good at first. I thought it was good, because my head and neck felt support, but the support was extremely firm. I felt like I was resting my head on a flat surface which had some give in it. I did hear some of the crinkling fabric but it wasn't enough to disturb my sleep. What I did not like was the many pieces of fill that were seeping out of the pillow. There were so many I thought maybe I had cut the top layer of the pillow when I opened the box. If you like firm support, these may be the pillows for you. I just wanted something that would support my head and neck on my back, side or stomach, and I feel that these are too firm to be that pillow.

Great value (Limericklady, Sarasota, FL, 2008-07-20)

I ordered these pillows for myself about 6 months ago. They are very soft and retain their loft. My son was recently diagnosed with alergies and asthma, so I purchased these for his bed as well. He loves them and although they are not "specifically" recommended for alergies and asthma, they are inexpensive enough that I can buy new ones every year if need be. I ordered the medium and the firm and my preference is the firm, but I like a pillow that has a lot of loft. Other reviews have stated that the ticking rustles a lot and is noisy. I can see where people would say that, however ,I have not found it bothersome and this seems to go away as the ticking softens with use. If you are particularly sensitive to noises this may be a consideration. Overall these are great pillows and I would recommend them to others. They are a great value.
