Good Value for the Price (Sheila55, Atlanta, GA, 2008-01-27)

If you are looking for a way to get the sound from your mp3 player while you are stationary, this is your gadget. If you are looking for full, deep sound.... keep looking. This device is a great way to convert the sound that usually comes out of the earbuds to an audible sound that can be heard from several feet away. It is not something I would do more than place on my nightstand to listen to my audio book or favorite tune mix while lying in bed at night. It works to have in the kitchen while cooking or cleaning up and maybe you could set it on the table while getting into your favorite vigorous exercise.... more than that is beyond its capacity. My 11 year old daughter really enjoys it, so maybe I am a generation behind in finding uses for it. The price is right for what it does and OVERSTOCK had lightening speed shipping as usual. Overall, I would buy it again, especially considering that a lot of other devices to do the same job are more than 10 times the price of this one.

I Would Love It If It Came With A Power Cord... (CheleP, , 2008-02-08)

This is a cute product, and the sound is quite good! "Pluses" The system comes with a UBC cord, you you can power them from your computer. The system folds up nicely to protect the speakers. The sound is quite good for a unit this small! You can't go super-loud with it, but for sharing music from your MP3, or for times when you just don't want to wear headphones/ear buds, this is just the ticket. "Minuses" Does not come with a regular power cord that you can plug in to a wall. I recommend rechargeable Triple A batteries. The battery life seems OK, but it takes four, so you might not want to be forever buying batteries if you can recharge them instead. Slight complaint, but not a big deal: While you CAN fold the system up, and the cord that plugs into the MP3 tucks away nicely, there is no tidy place to stash the other cord that comes with it (UBC). I'm worried that it might get lost in the shuffle...

Folding Speaker System for iPod (nypatchwork, upstate NY, 2008-01-06)

I bought the system for my grandson as a Christmas gift. I was very disappointed in the system that was supposed to be universal to both ipods and nanos. My grandson's nano has the plug-in on the bottom, so the nano sits cocked not flat. The shelf could have had a space for the plug-in fit and hold the nano in place sitting flat. The shelf is removable and is very hard to insert . . . so much so that it seems like it might break every time one has to pull it off or force it into place. We ended up leaving the shelf off and laying the nano on the table in front of the speaker set-up. The sound is good, but not being able to sit the nano vertical to view titles is frustrating. The price was so reasonable, we ended up keeping the system rather than to go through the return process.

Portable Folding Speaker System for iPod (blueridgemtgirl70, Nashville, TN, 2008-01-07)

I bought three of these speakers as gifts for Christmas, two for my daughters and one for myself. It is easy enough to operate in that you simply plug your iPod into the unit, turn the iPod on, turn the speakers on and....away you go....theoretically. The sound quality is miserable. I get better sound out of my PC, I just don't have enough battery life to use it as a speaker system while at home. I found the same speakers for much less around town as I was out during the holiday season. I will be looking for a better option, as most of my music is now stored on my iPod and I would like to listen while at home without having to walk around with earphones in my ears to do so.

You get what you pay for (KevTheo, SF Bay Area, 2008-01-05)

These speakers are okay in terms of quality for the dollar. If you are expecting high quality sound with good base and overall rich quality, this is not it. If you just want something small and easy to use to give you music to listen to while at a beach or working in an art studio or something like that, then this is a good option. I know someone who bought a $200 iPod stereo station and it has great sound, but this is less than 1/10th the cost with 1/5th the sound quality. If you just want low cost and simple, then this is a good product. If you want great sound quality, this is not for you.
