Good, but not all it's advertised (Strgzr5000, Naperville, IL, 2008-02-01)

Had this a few weeks now. Plays dvd's beautifully. Plays music cd's with no problem, but I just discovered it will not play high definition dvd's as advertised and am disappointed. Some dvd's make a loud noise when being read making the machine sound like it's going to take off when coming to the root menu but plays silently otherwise. Easy to set up and operate. Remote did not come with batteries, and would not work at first but I think it was just cold. Works fine now. All in all, not a bad little machine.

The DVD player seems very satisfactory, except that it is noisy; not to a great degree, but more than one of this quality would have. That makes it seem overpriced. I could recommend it, but only with this note. Vendors response was superb in timing and delivery.

The DVD player works well. The first one came with a remote that wouldn't work. I was sent a new replacement unit, both remote and player. That is fine. Excellent service of a defective part on original shipment. The service wins future business.

Decent, inexpensive DVD player (JSaber, Indiana, 2008-01-25)

Although it seems a little slow to load, and the remote's not very intuitive, this is a decent (cheap) DVD player. Excellent for an office/bedroom tv.
