The Story Behind the Art

Hand-woven by master craftsmen in Kashan, an ancient oasis city lying in a desert at the eastern foot of the Central Iranian Range, this rug will really tie a room together. The rug weaving traditions of Kashan date back centuries. Today the economy of Kashan is based upon the production of some of the finest carpets in Iran. Kashans are among the most prized Persian rugs because of their unique, easily recognizable patterns and intricate curvilinear motif designs.

Tip: We recommend the use of a non-skid pad to keep the rug in place on smooth surfaces.
