tiny powerhouse for images (pennsyltucky9, Fairfax, CA, 2008-02-16)

This little camera kicks the tar out of anything still using AA batteries because it'll go at least 15-20 times as long before needing a charge. The small size makes it one of the most portable cameras on the market. You can wear it on your belt or pocket it instead of having to strap it across your chest, etc. I carry it every day like my keys or my phone, yet I often forget I have it with me because it only takes up as much room as an ordinary wallet or a pack of cards. The only thing I miss on this model is the little optical viewfinder window which Pentax used to offer in older models like the Optio S4i. I found that it was a bit easier to frame a photo in bright sunlight using a glass lens-style viewfinder instead of the digital pixel screen (they did make the screen a lot bigger in this model, though). Other than that, I am thrilled to use this camera for all kinds of applications like shooting landscapes, close-ups of textures, animal tracks. portraits, recording scientific field observations, printed matter from such diverse things as classroom chalkboards, power tool instruction panels, serial numbers, receipts, price tags, and product labels. Plus, if you use a tripod, it shoots nice clean videos of everything from wildlife to concerts to firelight and sunsets. I'll never use a film camera again.

PENTAX OPTIO DIGITAL CAMERA (dancyn78, Illionois, 2008-04-30)

So far , So good on this camera!! It takes the most gorgeous pics!! It has so many features, I am finding new ones with each use! I almost did not purchase because other reviewers said it has no view finder, but it does!! With a click of arrow button I could see the last pic and thought oh well, i like camera so well I will deal with it, but then my daughter came over and showed me how the view finder works on this camera and it is great!! Another feature this camera has is a slide show feature just like my computer, this along with an extra large screen makes taking this camera along to show friends and family pics a breeze!! I highly reccommend this camera, has it's own battery charger, NO MORE EXPENSIVE AA'S!! YIPPEE! Put whole camera or just battery on charging dock and you are set!! THIS CAMERA ROCKS!! THE 3 i GAVE EASE OF OPERATIONS IS THAT THIS CAMERA HAS SO MANY FEATURES AND I HAVE NOT LEARNED HOW TO OPERATE ALL, I am sure when I do I will be even happier! Do not hesitate to buy this camera!!! :)

Great Photos for the $$$ (ds3490, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2008-06-12)

I have had my camera almost a year and have taken it to Europe 3 times and to several U.S. National Parks and the clarity of the photos, coupled with the ease of use has made me a fan. The camera is small enough to slide inside a pocket on a pair of jeans so you can avoid the obligatory camera bag, and the card allows you to store several high quality photos before downloading them to your computer. One of my photos was recently selected for first prize in an amateur contest in our local paper. I highly recommend it for the casual but serious camera user.

pentex optio A-10 (bikerchick49, oregon, 2008-03-31)

i thought it was time to upgrade my bike camera so i bought the optio a-10. for indoor shots it is o.k. but for outdoor shots you might as well forget it. the screen is the only point of reference to compose your picture. out doors you can not see the screen unless it is totally overcast. i would recommend a camera with a viewer that way you can see what you are getting. with this one you just point, shoot, hope....then delete if it is not what you thought you were shooting.

Pentax Optio A10 8.0 MP Digital Camera (Starbarette, Pacheco, CA, 2008-06-15)

This Pentax Optio A10 8.0 MP Digital Camera is wonderful. This is my first digital camera so it is a new experience to me. Being able to review the picture is great. You can make sure you get that picture that you really want. I have already printed out some of the photos. I am so very happy with the camera & would recommend it to anyone.
