Panasonic iron (Pondlilly, Temple TX, 2009-04-16)

Love this iron! It makes ironing such a pleasant task (I actually look forward to ironing); it simply glides across fabric and the steam/spray features work beautifully -- no sputtering or spattering. It heats up fast. It's easy to handle and is a good looking iron (can't believe I'm saying this about an iron). My only wish is that it would be a bit hotter at the highest temperature setting, but I think that may be a problem with my electrical outlet and not the iron at all (I've had similar problems with previous irons). Although I didn't want to spend this much on an iron, it's well worth it. It compares very favorably with a Rowenta, which is much more expensive.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Panasonic iron. Previously I had owned a very expensive, European steam iron. I am on a budget now and needed an iron right away. I cannot tell you how I love this iron! It really is a good value for the money. It is just as efficient as my European iron but much smaller and much, much cheaper.

I'm a guy who likes convenience and this iron provides all that! It's easy and smooth to use and the retractable cord works like a gem! I've only had this iron for a few weeks so I really can't comment on the durability but if it's like any other Panasonic product that I have it will stand the test of time. It's a winner!

I am very satisfied with the Panasonic steam iron that I recently purchased. I especially like the retractable cord, and the steam works very well. The dial is easy to see and use. And most important , it does not leak. I have tried several other irons before getting this one, and they did not work well. This one is a keeper.

We had bought and returned a competing brand because it failed to perform the basic functions of an iron. The Panasonic 1200 gets the job done simply and effectively--dials and buttons are very intuitive and each feature does exactly what it implies it will. The retractable cord is a big plus.
