Flakey LCD Screen (pappyrose, New England, 2009-05-28)

The only complaint - but it's a big one - is that 2 of the 4 handsets on my system had their LCD caller ID screens go blank. When it first occurred, I contacted tech support and was told to pull out the handset batteries, push every single button on the handset, then reinstall the batteries. That worked most of the time but it was just a matter of time before the screens went blank again. This is obviously a huge problem for trying to look up stored numbers in the handset phonebook, seeing who's calling in before picking up and even to see whether or not the handset is on or off! Oddly enough, each of the 2 handsets that 'misbehave' occasionally enjoy full function of the LCD screen. Not for long, though (a few days maybe). Luckily for me, the location of the 2 handsets made it not all that critical to have to be operate the phone 'blind' and the 2 handsets that have always worked well are dependable and have great features, which is why I give this model a decently high rating.

Added an extra handset (Craig6z, So Cal, 2009-07-01)

This purchase was to add an additional handset to an existing 2 handset Panasonic unit. Overstock's pricing was the best out on the web, but from a value standpoint, in the future I'll remember to just buy a base unit with one more handset then I really need. Pairing it with the base unit was easy, and performance has been excellent. The location I placed this new unit is about 80 feet from the base, on a different level of the house, and through a ton of walls. While this was a refurbished unit, there were no cosmetic flaws.

Panasonic 5.8 GHz Cordless Phone (namekalb, Northwest Ohio, 2009-10-30)

I recently purchased an additional 2 Panasonic (refurbished KX-TGA560) cordless handsets adding to the two that the system originally came with. I successfully installed them without any difficulty and they work quite well with the two that I purchased in November, 2006. We use the phonebook feature and caller ID, as well as the missed calls feature regularly. In the three years since the original purchase, we've had no problems. I find that being able to remotely call into the system to retrieve messages is likewise useful.

Nice Addition to our Panasonic phones (beadinggranny, Sacratomato, CA, 2009-09-18)

This handset was as promised and once I found the instructions on how to set it up it has worked like a charm. The information provided to me on how to add it to the system was woefully inadequate. If you accidently hit a button (or assume you can do it without the instructions) you will not be able to use their steps. You have to get it to say OK on the handset display before you can do any programming. To get to OK just press MENU, 0, 0 (zeroes). Then you can follow the manual as OK will show on the display.

Shipping Error (chmm, AZ, 2009-11-04)

I already have this phone and have had no problems w/it. It works great. I was adding another individual phone to my current based. Overstock.com shipped the phone, but w/o the battery in the phone which makes it worthless for use. Customer Service was quick, but said the Parts Dept would contact me in 1-2 days....little inconvenient...let you know if they come through w/the battery. I've been impressed with Overstock.com in the past so history is positive.
