Perfect Solution (shalom168, Mid-Ohio, 2009-05-07)

We eliminated our traditional land line for a new phone system that uses our cable internet connection (Magic Jack). Over the years we added several phones to the house (differing quality), but because they were all different, they would not work together with the one connection to MJ. We knew we needed at least 3 phones to service our home (ranch with a large footprint), and Panasonic KX-TG5623 proved to be a wonderful solution. We did not need an answering machine and we have not used the speaker-phone function. However, over the last few months, this phone has proven to be a wise choice. It has nice ring tones that we can hear through out the house. The display screen is easy to read. The handset feels solid and is comfortable to hold in my hand. The sound quality is excellent, and when I hang up the phone, it nests securely to the recharge connector. For a near senior citizen, it is nice to have all phones in the house function the same way. One thing I would ask Panasonic to change. An internet phone connection does not display caller ID on a handset (it does on my computer screen but not the handset). Identification appears on the handset only if the caller is programmed into your digital phone directory. Panasonic limits the directory to 50 numbers. By the time I enter my family's home and cell phone numbers, there isn't much room for other important numbers. I think that memory is small and cheap and Panasonic could easily increase size of the directory. But all in all, this is a wonderful phone.

Overall pretty happy with these (phonedork, Vermont, 2008-01-12)

I bought these after my other phone bit the dust. I have for some reason always bougt Panasonic cordless. I have tried to go with some other companies and always found them to be of lesser quality. These are super simple to set up, as I imagine all cordless phones should be. The sound is good. I have to have built in speaker phone for those long hold times. This speaker phone is above average as I have not gotten any feedback from it. I think all in all a pretty decent phone. I will say I think they are priced a little high. I think maybe $60-ish range would be really good bargan. This being said you do get 3 phones with them so maybe they are priced fairly. Just struck me as a little on the expensive side. I would buy again if I needed a cordless phone set.

Good Phones (fyfx, Kansas City, MO, 2007-11-12)

First off, the last time I bought phones from Overstock I got overpriced refurbished JUNK! I was MORE then a skeptic this time. Granted every store/website can has a percentage of overlooked junk from the manufacturer. So I decided to buy these reasonable priced phones. Though, this was MY LAST round with buying phones from overstock if they shot craps. Surprisingly, they were 180 degrees different. THEY WORK GREAT! The only feature I would of liked to have had was an answering machine. But I knew from the description they didn't come with an answering machine and that was okay. These are good working value priced phones. Nothing exceptionally fancy; but practical, YES!

A NIce Surprise... (Boilermomof4, Joliet, IL, 2008-02-29)

I was VERY skeptical about purchasing a refurbished set of phones and was certain that I would be returning this set when it failed to operate the way it was supposed to. I'm happy to say that I love these phones. The features are just what I was looking for - being able to turn the ringers off was one such feature and it works perfectly. The extra features are great - I really like that the phone flashes when I have a voice mail because I never think to check for voice mails. Overall these are great phones at a great value. I'm glad I took a chance and ordered these.

Concerned about buying reconditioned products (newtoonline, Los Angeles, 2007-12-25)

I trusted the info re reconditioned products on the Overstock website and purchase this phone package. Boy, I'm glad I did. My experience is phones don't last very long these days, so why spend a lot of money. This was the perfect purchase except no place to plug a stand alone answering machine. So far, that's has been the only down side. Audio is clear and the range has been great. I spend time in the yard and the phones have performed admirably.
