Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight and maintain at least two feet between furniture and heat sources. Aniline and Protected leathers are especially sensitive to direct sunlight. Excellent Choice (Zuey, New York, NY, 2008-07-02)

I've needed a new office chair for a while. Last year I purchased one after sitting on it in the store for over an hour. I spent a few hours assembling it and when I sat in it I got shooting pains down my legs. I tried for a couple of days but finally disassembled it (a few more hours) and returned it. Before this purchase, I spent a lot of time at Office Star's site reading the detailed specs as well as all the reviews on this chair here and elsewhere. I was still a little leery of buying a chair I had never sat in. I needn't have worried. Assembly was a breeze. Push in the 5 casters (push hard), screw in 11 screws (4 with washers), drop in the pneumatic tube, put the chair on the tube and you're done. The seat and the back are not at all flimsy. That means they're fairly heavy, but the chair is so well balanced that I had no trouble attaching the back by myself. (You have to supply your own Phillips head screwdriver.) The chair is quite comfortable and the back support is forcing me to sit properly for the first time in ages. The mesh feels quite strong and I'm not worried about it sagging any time soon despite the fact that I'm a large woman. The seat is thick leather but it is flexible. The leather is on the top and front only -- the sides and back are mesh which I assume allows it to compress and expand better and it looks fine. My favorite feature is the adjustable arms. Between the office and home, I spend a lot of time on the computer and I always have knots in my neck muscles. Once I realized that the fixed arms on both chairs I used were too high, adjustable arms became a requirement for me. I've set the arms a fraction of an inch below what I'm used to, forcing me to drop my shoulders to make contact. After only 5 days I can already see and feel the difference. If I could change anything, the seat would be about 2 inches deeper, but I knew that before I bought it. I didn't see another chair of similar quality with the features I wanted (leather seat, mesh back and adjustable arms) plus a deeper seat unless I wanted to spend at least double what I did. I consider it a good trade-off. And the chair is fairly big but, because the mesh back, it visually takes up less room that my old chair. That's important because I live in a small apartment and my computer is in my living room.

All-around good buy! (MileHigh5280, Denver, CO, 2008-02-27)

After looking at dozens of chairs, both online and at office supply stores, this one seemed the most fitting for my needs and ended up buying two! One for the home office and one for work. The seven piece assembly (other than the wheels) was a cinch with all the parts aligning perfectly and took about 20 minutes. The wide wheel base makes it quite easy to move on low pile carpet and feels very stable even when fully reclined. I like a firmer cushion which this has but has plenty of room to attach an extra pad if needed. The arm rests don't feel crowded and are comfortable despite not being padded. The sturdy mesh back provides me with great lumbar support and is just flexible enough to flow with your movements while in the chair. I'm in this chair about 60 hours per week between home and the office and am very satisfied.

Good quality at an affordable price (MaryATL, Atlanta, GA, 2008-04-20)

I spent 2-3 hours reading reviews of various office chairs before deciding on this one, and am glad I made the purchase. I am quite pleased with this chair after using it in a home office for two weeks. It has the elements that are required of an ergonomically sound chair: 5 casters for stability and ease of moving around; soft, adjustable arm rests; back support; pneumatic height support. As noted by other reviewers, the seat is firm but not uncomfortable. Everything about the chair is higher quality than I expected--the leather, mesh back, the heft of the parts. The chair was easy to assemble and feels very stable. I would have liked a Freedom Chair but could not justify the cost. This is a more than acceptable alternative. I gave away a high-back manager's chair because it was not supportive and was lesser quality.

He's happy with it! (OShopper30, Gainesville, FL, 2008-04-15)

I bought this chair for my husband. He had to have a chair that "reclines". Well I searched for a long time and took my chances that this one would work. He loves it! I put the chair together myself - very easy to follow instructions and all the hardware is included. I loosed up the tilt tension and left the tilt look open so now he can kick back and relax while he his on the phone. He likes the fact that while the back of the chair "reclines" the seat stays put. Thanks Overstock!

Great Chair - Valentine's Gift for my Husband! (RosieColorado, Colorado, 2008-02-14)

This chair looked perfect and it is. It was easy to assemble and very comfortable to sit in. It is a substantial chair but very attractive. Not the most romantic Valentine's Gift for my husband but one that he definately needed and it was a surprise!! Very pleased.
