Distinctly white lamp, and good return policy (ConsumerDemand, Connecticut, 2008-03-26)

This lamp is quite easy to assemble, and it is also easy to disasemble, which I had to do when the bulb on my first lamp wouldn't illuminate after two days of use. I used the (very responsive) customer/support chat on the website to order a replacement and returned the original in the replacement packaging. I haven't been able to return anything else I've bought online (because of shipping difficulties) so that was a refreshing change. Anyway, the lamp's light is noticably whiter than from standard illumination, and is bright - so the product does what it intends to. It has a solid, heavy base and a sturdy posable arm, and (I think) is excellent value. The lamp's grey plastic look definitely isn't glamourous in the daytime, but it makes a great impression when it's on.

Ott lite 18 wt (quintessa, , 2008-04-07)

This is a great lamp but you can not put it together to use it! The bolt that comes with the lamp that you use to screw the base into the pole of the lamp is too large! It will not go in. It is a 8.125 and it needs a 7.125. We have checked several hardware stores and this size bolt is not available. I would not recommend buying this particular lamp unless you intend on leaving it in the box and watching it lay on the floor. The price is great. We got the first lamp, asked for a second same bolt problem then contacted Overstock about the bolt they sent the same bolt.

Nice and bright lamp (orangesky, WA, 2008-05-13)

I just love this lamp! Its easy to assemble and the level of brightness fit for studying, reading or simply light up the room. With rotatable angle, it is able to light up half of my bedroom and I just love the natural color it gives my room. It is also not easily hot. Its just that, it is a little short. 2-4 inch more would be excellent. But for now, this is a very good product!

I gave this only 4 star because my lamp was broken and couldn't get the company to do anything about it, Overstock did without hesitation and I am a happy customer. I also had seen this same lamp elsewhere cheaper but it is nice to know that Overstock will back you on your purchase. Thank you Overstock!!!! Overstock gets 10 stars...

Great lights--wonderful on the eyes--order two--one the switch did not work--so had to send back--if you get theses lights--if the light does not come on as instructed--there is something wrong with switch not bulb--send back--overstock is good on returns--also hold on to box to make sure light works--if not, send back in box--
