Great for small spaces (frenchrockstar, Philadelphia area, 2008-08-10)

Overall we're happy with this product, though some of the round wooden "plugs" have been falling off lately. They cover up the screw holes on the stools. Pros: Pretty affordable, great that stools store underneath, color is good, solid wood pieces look nice, towel rack on side. Cons: difficult to assemble, piece of wood that stools rest on is a little flimsy, wooden plugs fall out, stool seat could be a little wider. We are glad we purchased it for our kitchen. We just renovated and were looking for something with specific dimensions and this was the cheapest and nicest looking item we found. We'd buy it again but are a little disappointed with a few of the features (noted above).

love my new table! (kawinki, orange county, ca, 2008-04-28)

It's taken me awhile to respond with this review because I just got someone to help me put this table and set of stools together. I have put together much easier pieces of furniture and had to bring a friend in to help me with this. He is a retired engineer so all he had to do was glance at the instructions and he had it together in an hour and a half. However, he needed another set of hands to put this together and I could not have done it by myself. It's a lovely table, perfect for my little dining room and fits perfectly with my decor and lifestyle. But if you get it, be sure to have someone help you!

A great space saver for a tight kitchen (madbiologist, Durham, NC, 2008-01-22)

I bought this table because my kitchen isn't very large and is lacking in counter space. With this next to the fridge, I now have to perfect place to prepare food, and then one done also have a convenient place enjoy it. pros: - very good use of space, with the stools stowed underneath - nice appearance - fairly easy to assemble (the directions weren't necessary except to determine which length of screw to use) - sturdy and decently heavy construction cons: - the top counter is either wood veneer or soft wood and damages easily, so be careful while assembling it - the drawer is somewhat flimsy

Although this breakfast bench set looks nice, and assembles in a fairly straight forward way, I can only rate it as a fair value. The natural wood surfaces are made of particle board and veneers (as expected of furniture at this price point). The problem is that the veneers are so thin, that a single bump results in a scratch through the surface. In a heavy-traffic area like a kitchen, this piece will soon be showing signs of serious wear. After two weeks in our house, some edges are already looking ragged.

Nantucket 3pc set (TXmamacita, Houston, TX, 2008-07-30)

I found the diagrams in the instructions to be less than helpful, so I just stopped looking at them and was able to assemble the whole set fairly quickly. I agree with another reviewer that the drawer is kind of flimsy, but it works just fine. The main color is cream which is what I was expecting though the wood color was much more orange-ish than I anticipated. This is overall a great deal for the price, since it comes with seating.
