terrible fabric (tipchic, Beale AFB, CA, 2008-06-04)

Do not buy this as a gift. It is not ready to give "as is", it needs serious work. I wouldn't even recommend buying it for yourself. The seams in the pockets, the belt loops and the inside seams are unfinished and have strings and fiber hanging all about. There was outrageous...well, pilling I guess. There were fibers hanging off the fabric, especially on the inside of the robe. After reading what other customers did about it, I decided to wash and dry it. That made the outside nice, but the inside was still gross. After 5 wash/drys it was getting better, but I finally spent 1/2hr dragging, not rolling, a sticky lint roller all over the inside of the robe. That greatly improved the problem. This robe was a hassle, the fabric quality was the worse I have ever seen with towel/terry fabric. It is fairly soft on the outside, so that is good....yep, that is the nicest thing I can say about the whole thing. FYI, this thing is massive in the mens size, I would guess XL or XXL or something.

What a disappointment! I have always loved the items I buy on overstock.com, but this robe is the pits. I bought it for my son, and because it was shedding so much fluff, I washed it for him before he wore it. Several cups' worth of lint came off in the washer and dryer - a whole handful was stuck in the washer, I hate to think how it could have clogged the plumbing! And one of the seams tore in the washer before he even wore it. Not to mention, it STILL had tons of lint balls all over it. Yes, the robe looks nice (until you wash it), but the fabric is terrible. We will probably just throw it away. I doubt anyone would want it if we donated to a charity that collects used clothes.

Very good robe (CharRK, Cleveland OH, 2008-01-27)

I had beenlooking in stores for REAL terry cloth robes with no success. I found this one on Overstock at a very good price. It is a bit big on me, but I knew it would be. They only had a man's "one size fits most" in white. I am a 5'1" female so I expected it to be a bit oversized, which it is. But I can deal with that easily. As for the fabric , I wish it were just a little heavier - This is not a lightweight robe, but the description did not give much info on what to expect as to density. It is still much better than what I was seeing in stores in comparable price range. All in all, a very good item and purchase

Nice bathrobe for the price! (nimosdq, Virginia, 2008-01-07)

I bought this bathrobe for my husband for Christmas. He's 6'2", so I was worried about finding a good fit, but this one fell below his knee (although not quite to mid-calf) and the sleeves were just right. The only things that caused my overall rating not to be a 5 were that the material was not quite as thick as I expected and the front pockets are hard to use when the robe is tied closed because they're right in the front and so they overlap when the belt is tied. It would be a better design to have the pockets in the seam on the side.

Too Big.. (ROBB317, Baltimore, MD, 2008-06-14)

I realize the robe is "one size, fit all", but the sleeve length is way too long and the robe has alot of extra material. The fabric is soft; however, the length of the sleeves make the robe uncomfortable. I ordered a women's robe after reading past reviews even though I am an average sized male because I thought the fit would be better. It turns out I was wrong. I feel for the money I spent along with shipping and handling, I'd rather pay a little more for something that fits better.
