Spice up the ambience of your home with this handcrafted wall hanging created by the Long Neck Hill Tribe of Thailand.
This fascinating work depicts a typical woman of the tribe. From the age of six, women of the Long Neck Tribe begin wearing a brass coil around their neck. The coil is gradually unwound as they age, creating a series of brass rings and causing the neck to become extremely long. Not long ago, the tribe migrated to Thailand from neighboring Myanmar (Burma) to escape the repression of the military regime there. This authentic work of art includes a hook on the back for easy hanging.
The handcrafted nature of this product will produce minor differences in color and sizing. Subtle variations will occur from piece to piece, adding to its unique qualities. All measurements are approximate.
