HUGE towels (JJinUP, UP Michigan, 2008-06-02)

I ordered these bath sheets to match the new towels and rugs(not worth it, read all reviews), that I also ordered for our new house. I have always wanted a large towel to wrap up in, (I hate getting out of the shower and trying to wrap up in what seems like a hand towel). And these "sheets" fit the bill. The color "cinnamon" was just ask expected. At first my husband was affraid to use them, he didn't want to mess up my decor, but i told him I bought them for us to use, and now he loves them, we have never had such a wonderful towel. the reason i didn't give all 5's. As others have stated, they do leave a lot of fuzz in the dryer filter, and there were a few loose threads, just snipped them off, and after several washings there doesn't seem to be any unraveling, but thought for the price they shouldn't have had them. Also if you are purchasing the set to match, the bath towel that come with the set are also a very nice size towel. We use them both and really only notice the difference when folding. Shipping took longer than expected, but we did move to a rural area, and that seems to happen with alot of shipments. Over all very happy with this purchase, I would recommend.

The towels are a good size and I really like the thick, plush feel. I was a little disappointed in the colors. The seafoam is a definite light green, although it looked more blue on my computer. Sky is a very light, but pretty blue. Smoke is a light gray, which looked like a smokier, darker gray on my computer. Mocha is just that...with a lot of cream in your chocolately coffee. The navy is a deep, dark blue which is better than I expected. Since these are gifts, I cannot tell you how they may survive in the wash, but looking at the packages, I am finding an occasional small pull in some of the loops. They still seem like a good value compared to the towels at $48 a piece that I had been coveting for months and months.

I bought these towels along with the other set of 6, and I'm leaving essentially the same review for both. These towels look nice and are thick, but as soon as I got them out of the packaging, there were already loose threads and tears. For the price, I expected much higher quality. You must wash them several times before use because they shed so much lint. I bought the navy blue towels, and after I washed them my washing machine was covered in blue lint, which was quite annoying. Overall, the quality is ok, but I am really disappointed at the loose threads and tears before they were even used or washed. I wouldn't buy them again and don't recommend them. For the price, you can surely do better.

BEWARE (oma6648, Cleveland area, 2008-08-16)

I bought these towels nine months ago and except for a few snags after washings they were OK. Recently I laid one on the couch to protect the couch from a new puppy. Be aware that after a few scratches from a little puppy this towel looked like thread spaghetti. I thought it had to be a defective towel but a similar thing happened on another towel. I bought $400 worth of these towels, I have 10 yr old towels that are old rag towels that I use in my dogs kennel that look way better than this towel after only one encounter with a dog. If you decide to buy these I would recommend buying just one set and seeing how that goes, they snag EXTREMELY easily.

La Grande is Excellent (Tembo, Chicago, Illinois, 2008-03-03)

I was very excited to receive the La Grande towel set which arrived within 3 days and the towels were visibly rich in deep color. I thought the towel fabric might be thicker or larger in loops but the towel is smooth and closely knitted and has a very nice heavy weight when laid over the body. I love the large size of the towels as they easily cover the full length of my six foot seven body frame and absorb water very well. I have already shown the towels to a good 15 people and would easily recommend these towels to others who seek a towel that can wrap around one's body providing great coverage and good comfort.
