great towels! (anonKY333, KY, 2008-01-31)

I purchased a set each of white and cream. These towels are dense and a bit heavy, but not too thick to dry all the body's "nooks and crannies". :-) They have stayed very nice and lofty through several washes and - yipee! - the woven band has not shrunk. I can't stand when even the expensive towels do that! NOTE: I've always been extremely satisfied with O's customer service in the past, but this order just about did me in. The 10% coupon postcard code did not work, and it took a live chat, a phone call, and SEVERAL emails to actually get my discount credited properly. All that work for $8.00. So I HIGHLY recommend calling a live person and making them stay ON THE PHONE until your order is entirely complete, and DO NOT TRUST them when they say it will all be taken care of later. It won't, not until you follow up over and over. It takes time to create, print and mail those postcards, so there is NO excuse for them not getting the discount code "in the system" by the time we receive them!

A bit disappointed... (tai1960, Kentucky, 2008-07-13)

I bought 2 sets of these towels in navy blue, back in April. They arrived very quickly, and were lovely. Nice and thick, and very soft. However, we have been using them daily since they arrived, and they are still throwing lint. A LOT OF LINT. So after drying off, you have this lint all over you. And since the lint is navy blue, it shows all over the bathroom. This means wiping down the bathroom surfaces almost daily. They are still nice and soft, though obviously not as plush. I have to wonder how long they are going to last. I wouldn’t recommend them solely because of the lint issue. Additionally there is no information on the tags on the towels in regard to the manufacturer. The tag simply states the style is La Grande, on one side, and made in Turkey, with fabric content and washing instructions on the other. A manufacturer of good quality items will normally be listed, so this tends to make me wonder how well the towels are going to hold up. Only time will tell.

The quality is deceptive (sportie, Channing, TX, 2008-05-27)

I have been using these towels for two and a half years and it just gradually gets worse! Within six months of my purchase some of the towels and washcloths began to discolor badly. They looked like they had been splotched with bleach. I did not send them back because I accused my thirteen year old granddaughter of misusing the towels! Of course, she denied it and now, six months to a year later, I know it was't her fault because I have seen several more looking like that and they have been nowhere near any bleach! Then, there is the fraying! What a disappointment!! I now have a total of about seven towels (bath and hand) and washcloths out of about twelve full sets that are not fit for company! Periodically I still have defects show up! Do not buy these towel sets! You will be disappointed, I promise! I just cannot afford to replace the towels right now. As soon as I can, though, I will! Trust me!

Soft & Substantial (jenmopo, Colorado, 2008-05-16)

If you like a nice substantial towel to dry off with, these are the towels for you. These are thirsty towels and are heavier in weight than the average towel. If you like a lightweight towel, these are NOT for you. But, if you are like me and like the feeling of a soft thick towel that can handle the job, then you will love these. Nice tight, thick and flat type looping. They did leave a lot of fibre/lint in my dryer catcher after their first wash, but I expected that from reading the reviews. I love the size and feel of these towels. I got the cinnamin, which had more of a "mauve" tone, rather than the "browns" I had hoped for, but the color is still beautiful and rich. These towels I feel are a pretty good value for the $ and I would purchase them again.

Beautiful and Soft! I ordered a set in Ivory and Silver Sage. Shipping was extremely quick and they arrived in reusable packaging. Towels extremely soft, I washed them right away and they washed beautifully, very fluffy, and the edges didn't curl. They were a pleasure to use, our existing towels immediately went into the back of the closet. They were such a great hit with my husband, we ordered the matching bath mat and sheet the same day these towels arrived. Silver Sage appears much lighter in person that on the color screen. Be aware of the dimensions listed for the wash cloth, it seems quite small for a wash cloth compared to my others. Neither of these things would hinder me from ordering this towel again, it's a great product.
