Broken on Opening (rerailer, New York, AZ, 2008-02-02)

Overstock was good about getting me a replacement. I thought perhaps that there was simply something I needed to do differently with setting he watch, but the sub dial minuet hand never worked. I tried calling the importer SWI in Hollywood, FL (the importer?) at least six times. I never got anything but voice mail. There was one call back, but of course I wasn't here. This is a really BIG watch. I like the visual design, but the luminous markings are poor at best. The band is leaving black marks on my wrist, but perhaps that will stop after a while. It appears to be built like a tank, but time will tell YIIAP

True XL Chrono (Luganprince, FT Collins, CO, 2008-02-18)

I only invest in XL timepieces. And this model is a true XL size. Cutting to the chase..... This JL model for the price is a solid buy. The design layout elements on the dial are excellent. Superior to the 53mm F1 chrono w/brown band which I only give a 3 rating. Only constructive criticism I have is that the weight of the watch could have been heavier. Thus giving the watch more of a value perception. Would like to see more XL ( 48mm & larger) watch design form the SWI group. Can't give any marks yet on performance /reliability.
