!!! (raindear22, NYC, 2008-08-21)

This mattress pad is amazing. I previously owned a VERY expensive mattress pad (about 3x the price) from the company that started the whole memory foam trend, but was not prepared to spend that much when I got a bigger bed. I had also been quite sweaty on it, but felt it was worth it for the comfort it gave my back. This pad, while visibly less dense than the more expensive one, is very high quality. The cover is the best part! It is so soft and cool--it's August in NYC and still no sweat! It took only a few hours to get its shape once out of the box, and the cover fit (with extra fabric to spare) around both the pad and my standard mattress. Luckily, my sheets fit over the whole thing. The pad itself is shorter on all sides of my bed by about 1/1.5 inches, but this does not bother me at all. For what it's worth, I got the full size. If I had one complaint, it would be that I wish the foam itself had a thin fabric covering as it is sort of sticky feeling and little bits of dust cling to it easily. If anyone has seen the very high end pads, they know what I am talking about. When you take the zippered cover off, there is a kind of thin gauzy fabric that helps keep anything from touching the foam directly so it will not gradually rub off or attract dirt, hair, etc. You could see this as a positive, though, since the foam directly on the mattress means it will cling and not shift around like my more expensive one did all the time. I can't speak to its durability since we've only had it a couple of days, but the cover is at least very high quality (tightly woven fabric, well sewn) and looks like it would withstand a good washing.

Olympic sleeper! (Kicline, Quincy, MA, 2008-08-25)

After sleeping on this topper for 4 days I feel I can finally give it an honest review. The first two days were a little difficult adjusting to the different feel the mattress offered from my regular mattress. I'm the person who needs 7-8 hours of sleep to feel rejuvenated and when that didn't happen instantly I was upset. By day 3, life was back to normal. My sleep is much improved and I don't wake up with the same back pain I have experienced for the past few years of my young 28 years. When I purchased this mattress I took the advice of many of the reviews I read and got a king instead of my needed queen size. It wasn't necessary to do in my case but I don't think it hurt either.I simply cut a foot off on one side of the mattress with a basic steak knife. The IsoCool cover still fits fine even though I own a queen bed, I merely tucked the end in a little more at the foot of the bed. No big deal. The smell of the mattress didn't bother me after day 2. It's like the new car smell that will eventually go away. It was a great benefit to read all the reviews Overstock costumers had to offer and it definately helped me make the right decision in ordering the mattress topper for me.

WOW....I'm sleeping better than I have in years (ReviewFromMD, Saint Leonard, MD, 2008-05-30)

This is an extremely heavy memory foam bed topper. I couldn't lift the box when it was delivered. My husband opened the box and this seemingly small sized ball of foam was packed tightly inside. Once the stays were snapped, this topper exploded....I warn future purchasers to stand well back and make sure small children and animals are nowhere near and make sure surrounding valuables are placed higher. But this is a very comfortable topper. My bed is odd sized...we have an olympic queen so we've had to purchase sheets, blankets, pads, and now toppers in King. This pad hangs over the sides by about two-three inches on each side. We are thinking of cutting some off. However, all this aside, this is the best thing I've purchased in a long time. We're both sleeping much better and for much longer with less periods of wakefulness. It does seem to make us cooler on the recent warmer nights and it did make us warmer on those chilly nights. Plus, our animals seem to like this, too. We wake up in the morning and find two dogs and a cat have all found purchase somewhere on the bed as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOPPER.

IsoCool 3-inch Memory Foam Mattress Pad (FlaGirl5678, Winter Haven, FL, 2008-07-22)

Living in Florida we have a lot of hot nights. We've tried regular memory foam mattress pads before, but we'd sweat and wake up on a wet pad. Yuk! Since this pad came with the IsoCool cover I decided to give it a try. Their shapes were very odd when they first came out of the package, but after leaving them laid out on the floor overnight, they shaped right up. My daughter's been wanting a theraputic bed so I bought two, one for each of our beds. Her's is a soft-side water bed and mine is a king size water bed. The pad fit her bed perfectly, but I guess king size water beds are longer than regular beds, so I had about a foot with no pad. I took an old egg crate pad and cut it, doubled it and put it at the foot of the bed. Rigged; but it works great. I'm going to have to get some deeper sheets, though. As far as sleeping...WONDERFUL! No sweat and wet pad. I highly recommend this to anyone. The IsoCool cover makes all the difference!

Best Sleep Ever!! (JennaS, Arizona, 2008-05-13)

My husband and I had been experiencing joint pain and both of us were tossing and turning all night only to wake up stiff, sore and tired. After purchasing this memory foam mattress topper with the ISOcool mattress pad we have both been getting the best nights sleep ever! I was a little concerned that memory foam would retain too much heat and make us too hot but the mattress pad takes care of that and makes it the perfect temperature. I was also concerned that the mattress topper and pad wouldn't fit over our already deep mattress. The mattress pad fit perfectly and I was able to purchase extra deep sheets to fit over it all. I think it was the perfect deal to get both the mattress pad and the mattress topper for such a great price!!
