A good inversion table (kelsreview, nj, 2008-02-25)

We have been living on a borrowed Stamina brand inversion table for almost a year and decided to return it and buy a new one for our own. We wanted something sturdy. I like this brand much better than the Stamina because of the foot bars. The grips on the Stamina get painful pretty quick - I found these roller bars to be much better! My husband assembled it so I can't say whether or not it was difficult - he had it together pretty quick, but we were famliar with how an inversion table should work, so perhaps that made it easier. If there were a star for "ease of use" would give it a 4 out of 5. The handle bars on the side are awkward - I like the stamina ones that go straight up better. But it's definitely not a deal breaker. The other thing that is odd is that on the way down, it sort of "bumps" or shifts. Everything looks totally sturdy, but it's just a "looser" and less smooth feeling than the Stamina. It is also more difficult to fully invert even with the tether strap completely off. But since there's not too much reason to actually 100 percent invert, this is not a big deal either. (A note about the weight limit - I'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about with the literature stating that it only is approved up to 300lbs. My booklet said right on the front in big bold letters, and all through it, 350. Perhaps they got the wrong booklet with theirs.) I still prefer this brand and the price is EXCEPTIONAL. I would recommend it. We bought our own because, due to having bronchitis, my husband had injured his back from the excessive coughing. It was very painful. We figured we'd spend at least this plus valuable time to go to our chiropractor, at $40 a visit. Well, we didn't need to, because within a little over a week, his back was 100 percent better. I have have had a chronic neck problem for years and have spent over $2000 in chiropractic to fix it. Once I stopped going to the chiropractor, I would throw it out again eventually and the pain would start all over again. Using a combination of an inversion table and "trigger point therapy" (google it!) I have fixed my own neck and have been problem free for almost a year. I have a range of motion I never had before and all wtihout chiropractic. I would highly recommend trying an inversion table for any back or neck issues, as well as purchasing The Trigger Point Workbook. Chiropractic is great, but those muscles will just keep pulling the vertebrae right back out of alignment once you discontinue your visits, and who can afford to go a couple of times a week forever?

Inversion Gravity table (Dockem, Indyanner, 2008-02-10)

Bought this due to back problems. I have not been able to use it as much as I would like due to current problems. However, I wish I had had it BEFORE! Overstock.com has a GREAT price on this table! Very well made and heavy duty, steel construction. The covers for the pivot points are a bit cheap tho. I don't doubt that this thing will hold a BIG person. I would beware of the $69 cheapo tables you'll find and are sold on some auction sites. Be sure you have someone there to help you when you first try it out. You have to "balance" the weight so that you can tilt back and then forward easily. Takes a bit to get it right. Since everyone's weight distribution varies, it may take a bit of trial and error. Don't expect to stand on your head right off, 20-30 degrees will seem very steep at first. And boy did my back pop when I first used it! I believe the instructions when they say to "work" your way up to longer time periods of usage. Wish I had had this table a few years ago (been having back problems on and off for 16 years) , probably would have saved me some time and money for back adjustments. But I don't think this would be a complete panacea for all problems either, but would definitely be of benefit. A great preventative device to help your back! I would definitely recommend this if you have lower back problems and you want to keep your back "tuned" up.

newtoinversion (skepticle, San Francisco, Ca, 2008-08-06)

My husband has been buggin for an inversion table for couple years. I was reluctant. Have been looking up info on risks and benefits as well as comparing tables on line. Found this one on Overstock.com. Read reviews and decided to go for it as a gift for hubby's birthday. The table arrived so quick couldn't believe it was here. I told him about reviews saying would be bit of challenge to put together and suggestions to ignore the instructions that come with it. The next day when I walked in from work there was the table all set up in the living room with my husband hanging completly upside down with big grin. He said the table went together rather well. No issues and did not use instructions. I have tried the inversion table few times have yet to get completely comfortable with idea of being inverted completely. I have gainned trust the machine is sturdy enough. My husband attached the teather ,it comes with, to a comfortable level for me. Now I can relax, tilt back and reap the benefits. I am so glad I finally gave in and thank you to all who write reviews it makes shopping online much more enjoyable than just taking a risk on something on just faith it will work out.

Exceptional product (HappyWifeinPA, Camp Hill, PA, 2008-02-19)

I purchased this for my husband who was diagnosed with a bone spur and compressed vertebrae in his neck. He was in constant pain. Read all the prior reviews and decided to take a chance that it would help him. He loved it from the beginning. As long as he uses it twice a day every day, he is pain free. When he went out of town his neck ached after the second day. When he got home, the machine straightened him right out, both literally and figuratively! He is a big man, 6'3" and over 280 lbs. The frame holds him with no problems. When he uses it right before bedtime he sleeps like a baby. He is not the type of person who buys into this sort of thing, so for him to be so enthusiastic about it says alot about the product. As far as Overstock is concerned, the order was handled beautifully. It was my first order and I was very satisfied. It shipped quickly and arrived in good shape. They respect my privacy which is very important. I will use Overstock again.

Excellent Product That I recommend (IrisR, Virginia Beach, 2008-08-31)

Although I did not know very much about the Inverion Table, I heard a great deal of good about them. I have been suffering from severe lower back pain for three years now. Without too much detail, I have been through PT and Pain Management for the pain. Nothing seems to work. I went on Overstock.com and read the reviews on all the Inversion Tables and found that this one was recommended more than the others. After it arrived, my husband put the Table together within 10 min. The table adjusts to the hight of the person. I placed my ankles in the restraints and off I went. Wow!!!!!! It felt relief immediately. If your suffering from back pain, consult your physician first to prevent further injuries to the spine. If he/she clears you, this machine is the best. I am inverted for 10 min. a day and that's all it takes to feel relief :-) I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
