Dissapointing (swampsister, Sunshine State, 2008-01-31)
 
I purchased this iron because my steam iron has always "spit" on my clothes while ironing, occassionally requiring re laundering of the garment. I had hoped that this one wouldn't since it got such wonderful reviews from everyone. Well, it spits just as badly if not worse, and the retractable cord does not retract so great. I will keep the iron and see if the spitting resolves with time, my last iron said it would stop - never did. A GOOD cheap iron just might not exist.

Overall, the iron works well, Sufficient steam produced and retains the water for a decent amount of time. The non stick surface does not however, allow the iron to glide as smooth as I would have expected. Smooth surfaced metal irons glide better. Iron light in weight which is good, retractable cord is a good feature, but the cord could be a little longer. Generally, the product is worth the price considering one could pay quite a bit more.

I was actually surprised with the quality of this product. it works just as fine as a $100 one. the retractable cord makes it very easy to store (since I'm a very ordered freak) and performance was just what I was looking for. It heats up pretty fast too so you don't have to wait for an hour for it to be ready. Definately the best buy of 2007.

Not that great! (TRISHAD, Pt. St. Lucie, Fl, 2008-02-20)
 
I have bought many things from Overstock and been very pleased with them. I was not with this iron. The steam button does not stay on, and I have to put it on the highest setting to iron anything. The retractable cord is a nice feature, but once in a while it sticks when you are retracting the cord. Overall, I would not recommend this iron.

Great Iron (caitska, Seattle, WA, 2008-03-05)
 
Don't have much to compare it to, but it was cheap, arrived quickly, and works like a charm! I LOVE the automatic retracting cord, (although you have to be careful it doesn't smack you on the way back in!) Has all the settings I could want, and the steam/spray options work very nicely. Really gave my clothes a nice finish.
