Hot Tools Tourmaline 1875 Watt Ionic Dryer (Debbie5762, ohio, 2008-07-09)

I recently purchased this dryer because of the high reviews. So I must say that I was very dissappointed. I expected more out of this quality dryer and I have to say that my $12.99 Conair tourmaline dryer was just as good if not better. I feel that it is not very hand friendly. The buttoms to adjust the heat or speed settings are very difficult to adjust. Once you turn off the dryer it holds the last setting you used so, I feel that I am spending more time trying to adjust the heat settings. When you go to the cool cycle you have to hold the button down longer than usual for it to cool down. The quality and size are good, and the dryer itself is fairly light weight. It's just the settings I have a problem with. I do wish I would have spent the extra money and invested in the better tourmaline dryers that overstock offers.

Tapped into my hairdresser's secret! (WatchingForValue, Reston, VA, 2008-04-23)

Well, at least now I know how my hairdresser gets the hair to dry so soft and shiny. Two weeks after my $$$$ color job it started to look a bit off, but after drying with it for the first time it looked as healthy as the day I left the salon. Go figure. I looked around for a great (affordable) tourmaline drier and this really fit the bill at just under $50 with over half off retail. Arrived lightening fast with all registration intact. I did buy the 2 year warrantee since it's so cheap. I'm glad that I picked this option - was willing to go double the price (on Overstock, of course!). A pro salon supplier down the street has it on 'a sale' for $100. (I have naturally wavy, thinner hair with lots of body so de-frizzing is always a priority). I do wish it had a diffuser attachment but I'm sure it's available somewhere.

Hot Tool Hair dryer (Sue54, Garland, TX, 2008-03-18)

Great value, warranty, and quality! Real professional tool (ceramic and digital) and I have seen it used by my hairdresser too. What a timesaver to have a pre-set temp and speed I select personally and can change too. Dryer performs at the temp/speed last used, each time you turn on-- provided you do not disconnect power source. The cool cycle option saves hair from frizzies too and is relaxing. Comes with 2 nozzle options (comb and airflow nozzle extension).

It Gets Hot! (seememexico, Texas, 2008-04-09)

This is a perfectly good hairdryer, but I don't think it is the best thing since sliced bread. Personally I don't see any difference in my hair. My $18 Conair performed the same before it finally died. I would recommend it, because I like the many settings. I don't like that the Ionizer function has to be turned on. It should be automatic, with the option of turning it off. I believe this is just an average hairdryer.

It's Great! (Msjudee, , 2008-07-16)

I can definitely see an improvement in the condition of my hair following the use of this dryer. My hair definitely doesn't look damaged or dryed out as it did prior to this purchase. The only thing I would change is that I'd prefer not to have to reset the the power settings each time I turn it on. Although that is a small inconvenience compared to the great job this dryer does on my hair.
