Really beautiful scarf. Bought it about 2 1/2 years ago and I really loved it. Put it in a bag of dry clean stuff to go out and when I went to sort out the bag the scarf was completely covered in THICK MOLD. Had to throw everything out. I see other reviews stating a mildew smell--I want to warn everyone if you buy this have it cleaned immediately, but I don't know if that will kill everything on it.

Indian knitted silk scarf (goomer, Potomac, Maryland, 2008-02-18)

The effect of the pretty, colorful scarf was immediatelyruined by the awful smell of mold. The acconpaning paper said it needed to be aired. It took a drycleaning and two daylong airing and a shot of Febreze before the scarf was OK.

scarf is very pretty....nice colors....note in box said it could smell bad shipped overseas....well it was horrible it took three weeks outside to get smell out...and now it is a great addition to my winter wear....thanks
