Excellent Chairs (PickyMcHardtoplease, Cincinnati, OH, 2008-01-20)

I will agree with the previous reviewer that these chairs are slightly darker than they appeared online, but nothing too drastic. In fact, the pictures of the back and close-up of the front corner cushion are more accurate in color than the picture of the two chairs from the front. The chairs have a firm padding that seems to be durable without being too hard. The seat is very comfortable and provides nice support. The exposed wooden frame on the back gives a nice clean detail when the chairs are tucked in. The assembly was much easier after I modified the provided allen wrench to work in a cordless drill. If you had to assemble all of these by hand I would fear carpal tunnel syndrome! We ordered a total of ten chairs and nine of them went together beautifully. The one chair did not line up properly so that only one of the two fasteners was utilized on one corner. The chair is still very sturdy missing the one fastener. The one attribute of the chair that disappoints is that you can't easily move them with one hand, you definitely need to use two hands, but that's the price you pay for chair with a thick back padding. The chairs do NOT come with felt pads for the legs, and although the bottoms of the legs are smooth, I would recommend pads if you have wooden floors to protect. Overall these chairs are an exceptional bargain and they look far more expensive than they cost! Kudos to Overstock for these chairs!

Dinning Chairs (DaveandMikey, Austin Texas, 2008-03-14)

We received our chairs yetsreday. Shipping was actualluy just 2 weeks instead of the stated 6 weeks. Boxes were a little beat up but we inspected them for damage and found none. They came very well packaged. We are very pleased with the sturdy construction, looks and comfort. We purchased these chairs for our rosewood dinning table and they match perfectly. They are very contemporary and have museum quality that works well in our townhome. They were very easy to put together and the nuts and bolts fit with precision. I was hesiatant to purchase chairs online (not being able to sit and feel them) but after reading other reviews and going to many stores stores to sit on their collections of dinning chairs I was left little choice. The chairs are well priced well built and look great! We reconmend this product and are very happy that Overstock carries such quality.

These are absolutely perfect! Very modern yet classic clean lines. Not so modern that it feels cold or minimalist. Beautiful greyish taupe color with a great woven fabric that looks much richer than the typical cheap microsuede on most chairs these days. Took about an hour to assemble four chairs, and as always it goes faster after you figure out the first one. My only issue was that the shipper never called me to schedule delivery. I came home less than a week after ordering, and they were just sitting on my front porch in huge boxes. Fortunately they arrived completely undamaged. I love them!

Great buy for the money (laura38, NY, 2008-01-04)

I am a very picky consumer, but made an excellent choice with these chairs. They are attractive, sleek and comfortable. One set of two were a bit more difficult than the other to line up attaching the back to the seat. And, be aware that the color is not as it appears - it is definitely darker - more a medium "taupe." - but the fabric is an upper grade weave and is finished nicely. All in all, love the chairs!
