It was hard for me to choose which comforter to purchase for my bed due to the vast selection of comforters in overstock. So I have to say I made an excellent choice in choosing this one and the price is very affordable which makes it possible for everyone to be able to own a comforter that has such excellent quality to it. The cover of the comforter is crisp and durable fabric. I didn't even think it needed a duvet cover because I wanted to enjoy the design on the cover. the only reason I would use a duvet cover is because I cherish it so much that I don't want to spill a drop of anything on it. Each day I look forward to the end of the day knowing full well that I'm going to climb into my bed which makes me feel so comforted after a hard day. Who wouldn't want to feel pampered in such a fluff of covering? I am using it even now in the heat of the summer and don't want to wait till the cooler weather comes. That's how excited I am in using it. like a child who receives a favorite pair of shoes and would wear them to bed if they could because they love them so much. THAT'S how I feel about this comforter. I get to enjoy it visually during the day and physically at night in my bed.

I was a little nervous about getting this comforter after reading many of the reviews. When I got it I was pleasently surprised to see that all of the feathers were fairly evenly distributed throughout the comforter. For the price you pay for this product I felt I got a good deal. Keep in mind this is not a heavy comfortor, but something that will keep you warm and is still nice to cuddle up to, and looks good enough on the bed. Some of the squares were very full while others were fairly empty, so I could see where there might have been some trouble in some of the comfortors, but in my case they weren't all shifted to one side or the other. I have had this product for around a month and it has poofed up some more and lost the smell, I have been very pleased with my purchase!

Keeping Warm and Happy (Cassandra7, Seattle, 2008-06-01)
 
I've done a lot of research on comforters and visited several stores for comparison before I finally ordered this down comforter. It is for cabin, used year-round up here in the Pacific Northwest. This comforter appears to be the perfect match, and is so nicely made. I will be putting a duvet cover on it even though it has such a nice appearance. In reading other reviews I was prepared to let it air out for several days which was needed, and of course fluffed it up just like any other comforter. Now I will keep it stored in a non-plastic bag with some sachet or nice strong smelling soap. Then we will be ready for next Fall and Winter. The price is excellent and as always, Overstock gives the fast service and minimum shipping charges. Another winner for me!!

This is a beautiful comforter - absolutely perfect in terms of fabric softness, lovely woven stripe, and fluffy warm too. The only problem with it is it's too short in length. I bought the king size so it would be larger and more comfy on my queen bed but I didn't notice the dimensions and it's about the same as a queen or shorter in length than some so it just hangs off the sides but doesn't cover my feet - and I like to kick the covers up and under my feet to keep them warm. I wasn't sleeping well because of my feet getting cold so I ordered another one I love and am giving this one to a friend. I thought it would be nice to know that in case you also like to wrap the covers around your feet too. If not, it's a fabulous buy. Stay warm, Stef

Very satisfied: got what I was looking for! (Brewmeister, Northern Indiana, 2008-01-10)
 
This product met all my expectations of value, warmth, appearance, thread count, and quality. I am a value shopper, and looked at dozens before I purchased this one. Concerning comforters, the 'fine print' is necessary to discern between a "Down" comforter that has partial Goose feathers and a "Down" that is 100% Goose down (no feather content). This comforter arrived as advertised, full of light weight, fluffy Hungarian Goose down that is as warm as the listed 'Fill Power' capability. The edges, seams, and cotton sheating have not 'leaked' any down, which a high thread count is always important for. I hope this helps anyone looking for an excellent value/bang for the buck comforter, and I definitely would recommend to a friend.
