Silky smooth hair! (DShopoholic, Long Island, NY, 2008-01-09)

I have waist length hair and tried a cheaper brand straightener just to see if I would like staright hair and the spray on ceramic started to chip away on the 2nd use. I decided to go for the Chi after the brand came highly recommended. It did a great job on straightening and leaveing a nice shine. The unit does, however, get SUPER HOT. I love the outcome but worry about the potential damage such extreme heat can do to my hair. I would definately recommend the Chi brand for its ceramic plates and beatiful outcome - I choose not to staighten too often to minimize heat damage to my hair.

I have cowlicks on both sides of the front of my hair line that have driven me crazy plus I have wavy cant do anything with my hair, hair you know what I am talking about, I love this product and would not give it up ever. I am so much happier getting up in the morning to do my hair because I know it will look good now and stay looking good ALL DAY!!! yes all day, and the next!! It is well worth the money i dont have to waste money on gels or other stuff that didn't work anyway, and my curling iron is finally retired. I love my CHI

This is awesome! My hair is pretty curly and dry this iron makes it so smooth and sleek looking. You can change the heat unlike some of the chi irons, which is awesome. My hair is thick and having the 2" plates allows me to straighten more hair at a time and I finish faster than usual. You would think having the larger plates would make it more difficult to straighten the waves I have left by my temples and sideburns after blowdrying, but it gets it!! I recommend this to anyone who has wavy or curly hair!!!

I LOVE this thing!!! It heats up really fast and leaves my hair feeling really soft. I like the red felt, I can touch it there without burning my fingers off. I like the swivel cord, it doesn't tangle up while I'm working on my hair. The only thing I would change if I could is the length of the cord, I think it's too long. I wish it was a little bit shorter because it gets caught in cabinet corners and stuff when I'm using it, but it's ok ;-)

I bought this iron because I heard so many great things about the CHI. I can't say it works any better than my cheap one, and the materials seem a little flimsy for the price. I think owning one is more about the glamour of owning a 'CHI' iron than the result you get from using it. Overstock.com, however, was great: super fast shipping, and they did NOT send me a refurbished product... brand new. Happy with Overstock's performance!
