This is a great hairdryer! (naturallygray, Central Texas, 2008-01-06)

I first purchased this hairdryer about 9 months ago. I have very thick hair and noticed that by the time I finished drying my hair, it didn't look half as good as when my stylist finished. One reason, obviously, was because I wasn't a professional stylist, but the other half was because I wasn't using the professional-quality tools that my stylist used. So, I decided to cough up the cash on a 'good' dryer. I was not disappointed! It dries my hair in half the time and my hair is very shiny when I'm done. The dryer became so popular in my home that I was having to fight my two daughters for it, so I ordered another one (even though the price had gone up since my original purchase!) for their bathroom. My second one came in with a small flaw in the housing of the unit and made a rattling sound when turned on. I got online with Overstock and they made the return unbelievably easy! After reporting to them that I wanted to exchange this second dryer for another one, they sent me a return UPS label the next day and before I even got my return to the UPS pickup site, I had another dryer on my doorstep!!! How wonderful is that? So, all this to say that this is a fabulous hair dryer and Overstock is a fabulous company. Hope this helps you make up your mind about your purchase.

Love this hairdryer! (MAM65, Birmingham, AL, 2008-01-09)

First of all, I love shopping websites that have product reviews. I trust the other consumers out there who want value and quality just like I do. I read the reviews on this hair dryer and knew right away, just from the sheer volume of positive comments, that I wanted to try this one. I was not disappointed! I was a little "nervous" when I read the other reviewers' comments about how hot this dryer can get because I thought that can't be good for my hair, and my current hair dryer causes my hair to really frizz and look dry no matter what heat protectant or other products I use on it. This dryer is awesome! Other reviewers said their hair didn't frizz nearly as bad as with their current hair dryer and I found that to be the same with me. Immediately I could tell a huge difference; my hair felt softer, looked smoother and silkier, and I could even walk out the door without having to run a flat iron through it. The cold shot button really is COLD air, and this is the first dryer I have ever had where it really was cold air! This was worth every penny because I get my hair dry in less time and it looks and feels better than ever!!

Best hairdryer I've ever used! (LovetheOforever, San Diego, 2008-05-19)

I am very picky about the hairdryer I use and have gone through probably 10 in the last 6 years or so. This one is HANDS DOWN the best! It dries my hair in just a few minutes, comparred to the 15-20 it takes with most dryers. And best of all, it leaves my hair feeling smooth and looking shiny. I have seen a noticable improvement in the look, behavior, and health of my hair since using this dryer. Well worth the price, especially when you consider that Overstock has it for half of what the beauty supply stores charge. I also have a CHI brand flat iron and it seems to me that all CHI products are well made and I will continue to purchase the brand. Another wonderful feature of this dryer is the noise level. It's amazingly quiet and is the only hairdryer that doesn't wake up my husband and dog in the morning while I'm getting ready. So guys, if your girlfriend/wife's hairdryer is bugging you in the morning buy this for a gift and get some extra sleep!

Amazing Hair Dryer! (Monkeymama, Bonney Lake, WA, 2008-07-03)

This hair dryer has not only met my expectations, it also surpassed them. I have very thick, wavy hair, and the shaft is somewhat coarse. For me to get my hair completely dry before styling it (usually with a flat iron), it would take approximately 25-30 minutes with a traditional ionic hair dryer. This CHI dryer by Farouk did the job beautifully in about 10-12 minutes and left my hair extremely smooth WITHOUT any frizzies near the part or roots. I was so impressed with this hair dryer that I purchased another one for my father who has hair exactly like mine. He has had similar results in decreased drying time, softer feel of his hair after drying, and fewer frizzies (if any) at the roots.

Best dryer I've ever owned! (MELLIEMEL, North Hills, CA, 2008-04-18)

I purchased this dryer because my hairstylist uses one and I fell in love with the short time in which it dried my hair. It's extremely lightweight compared to the Babyliss is used prior. When it's on the "high" setting it doesn't blow your hair all over the place. I would have given the Quality 5 stars, but the supplied diffuser (I have to use a "sock" type instead) doesn't stay on very well and it's rather cumbersome. I would have given 5 stars for the Value as well, but I don't know if any ionic dryers on the market that you can pick-up at your local "big box" store would be comparable. It's a bit of money to spend, but I trust my long hair will not dry out with the Chi.
