It is Merino (MerinoMan, Jersey City, NJ, 2008-01-14)

By phone call the manufacturer confirmed the blankets were woven from Merino Wool. The blankets are exceptionally soft, warm and sturdy. They are softer and lighter in feel after a first washing. There was minimal lint and no discernible shrinkage. At the Overstock price the blankets are at a significant discount from the manufacturer's retail (although not as high as the stated comparison price.) The blankets feel of slightly different weights and density of weave with the white the lightest, the beige a bit heavier and the gray the heaviest and warmest. My recommendation is scoop them up while you can.

Nice blanket (julie7352, Nashville, TN, 2008-04-21)

I was looking for a blanket that I could curl up with on the couch and actually be able to cover all of my body parts. This blanket is good quality and I really like that I can wash it instead of like all of the other stuff that I own that has to be taken to the dry cleaners. I have an English Bulldog that sheds and slobbers so having something that I can launder myself is really important.

I purchased this blanket in grey. It has a very nice weave and hem finish and drapes very well on the bed. In warmer weather I can use it alone in place of a quilt or spread. The mid-weight makes it good for layering or using alone as the weather dictates. This blanket is a dream to launder. I am very pleased with the product and service.

The customer service was great...shipped rapidly and arrived in good shape. It is light weight but warm. It is over size and rather stretchy...so If you have a queen sized bed, I would recommend a full size blanket.

Xmas gift (piperglor, Wis, 2008-01-07)

I gave this blanket as a Christmas gift to my daughter and son-in-law. They said it is beautiful, of good quality and warm. They especially liked that it came from Faribault MN which is near my home.
