Soooo Big (realitycheck, Chicago, IL, 2008-01-13)

This is truly every bit as large as stated, I purchased it for a full size, large, male boxer, and it is considerably larger than needed. This disappointment is in the depth of the bottom, as it is thinly packed, and I was hoping for something thicker, providing more protection and warmth from the hardwood flooring. The dog did manage to bite several holes in it in a one hour time span, though, he can be determinedly destructive, I don't really fault the durability of the piece.

Bagel Dog Bed (Donahueg, Louisville, KY, 2008-03-19)

The bed arrived as described however I am very dissatisfied with this product. The bed filler matted down very quickly and is so thin now that it is just like our puppy is sleeiping on the floor. It did not hold its shape and thickness for more than 2-3 days. We have a 5 month old puppy that is 45 lbs and I bought the larger size bed hoping that it would hold up well. I now have to go out and purchase a new dog bed at the pet store, which I should have done originally.

Our dog seems to like his new bed, but there is not very much stuffing in it and the sides and bottom are really starting to flatten out after only one month's use. I originally ordered the large size bed for our 60 pound boy but that one was way too small for him. He fits in this one just fine but it looks like the same volume of stuffing is used for both sizes - enough to be nice and cushy in the large size but not nearly enough for the extra large size.

I am so happy with this purchase. The size was a little larger than I thought. That was great because I have 100 lb golden retriever and could never find anything large enough for him. The color was great. I got the green. I hope it washes up good. I haven't had to wash it yet. The firmness of the sides is good for my dog too becuase he loves to rest his head on things. I would definately recommend this product. My dog loves it.

My great dane puppy practically demands soft bedding - something about that rapidly growing frame! We've put this inside her kennel and she loves it. We had another one previously and what I preferred about this one was the strong backing it had - the only negative is that the sides are soft on this, so they don't provide her any support, but she hasn't really seemed to mind!!
