| Well worth the price
(summertime, West TN, 2008-03-04) |
| |
| I purchased this watch for myself. I am very pleased. It looks nice on my wrist and is comfortable to wear. I have had several compliments on it. It certainly looks like I paid a great deal more than I did. I like the mesh strap but like a couple of other purchasers, the strap did slip out of the bar that keeps it laying flat. I fixed that with a gentle hand and a pair of needle nose pliars. To me the very little effort on my part was nothing compared the the price and overall value. I gave it 4 stars for features because of the strap issue and 4 for durability because I haven't had it long enough to know how durable it actually is. |

| Very nice watch but a few criticisms...
(waytoopicky, Outside of Philadelphia, 2008-01-08) |
| |
| I bought this for a friend only b/c of the great value it boasted. Upon arrival, I was disappointed in the packaging! It came in a box covered with a flimsy white paper thin cardboard "shell" which was bent on all 4 corners...for an originally 300.00 watch - the presentation failed for me. I opened the box to a pretty silver toned watch, average in "wow appeal" in my opinion. What I didn't like the most was the largely printed name on the face. I think that took away from the simple beauty of the watch. Overall, great value for a watch under $20.00 - something you'd find at your local deptartment store. |

| Faulty depiction of item
(jiggssma, CT, 2008-02-23) |
| |
| The listing for these watches indicated that they were a much higher priced item (well over $100). Although that doesn't happen often, I received excellent prices on items I ordered previously. So I took a chance. As presented as a Lucian Piccard there are some expectations. The feel of the item was cheap. The materials were scheap. The instructions to change the battery indicated to me that it had to be doen by a Piccard representative. That would probably cost 1/2 the price of the watch if done. All I can say is it was a total disappoinment and I am just hoing that I will receive a credit for the return. |

| Bargain of the Season
(Tryana, Downeast Maine, 2008-01-07) |
| |
| This little sweetheart won my 'bargain of the season' award for Christmas 2007. While definitely not a 'rough and ready' everyday watch, it was a big hit with the younger crowd, a casual sophistication with a 'grown up' look. The Japanese movement will keep it running for as long as they own it, or remember where it is, or remember to have a new battery put in, or ........... Yet, it is hardly a throw away, which increases its chances of longevity. I know that mine will probably be around long enough to see my estate sale or get passed down to a loved one. An excellent watch for smaller wrists. |

| My Sister Loved the Watch
(Endya, Jacksonville, FL, 2008-01-13) |
| |
| The watch is very pretty and expensive looking. When my sister opened her birthday gift, she immedately stated that she would wear it to church and special events. I was shocked at how nice and pretty it was. Everyone thought I paid alot more for it than I did. I was very surprised myself. I should have gotten two however, am glad I purchased the silver and not the gold watch. If you want to impress your family members for a small price, this is a good gift. Wrap it in really nice wrapping paper and wait for the oohs and ahhs.
Presentation is everything sometimes. |
