| not great

| The watch face is VERY big. Also, it is merely a plated finish on the metal, and is very cheap. We went to get the watch engraved to give as a groomsman gift, and the engraving needle scratched the product oddly on account of it being much softer met... (more)al than it looked. When we attempted to buff out the scratch, the metal became discolored as the plating was buffed off the base metal. If you get this watch, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ENGRAVE IT.
Additionally, the brackets on the face that the strap attaches to are not flat (you can't tell from the picture). They curve down, but at a different angle than the band does. This looks extremely odd when worn.
We ended up throwing the watch in the trash and finding a better one. I didn't mind buying it at the Overstock.com price but I would have been horrified if I had paid the list-price for the watch, as it is clearly of an inferior quality. If you use the list-price that Overstock..com indicates when trying to determine the relative value of the product, don't make that mistake here. We chose the watch based on reviews suggesting the watch looked very expensive. That is not consistent with my personal opinion; I think it looks quite cheap. |

| Hard Core Watch

| This is a very bold wristwatch, not at all suitable for slender or small wrists. It is heavy, the watch face and backing are very well constructed and the mechanics are still working well. The detail work is very good, with no pitting, scratching or ... (more)flaws. This is a heavy watch, and if you or the person you are purchasing this for are not used to a watch of this size/weight, it may take some getting used to. Because I prefer leather bands, I took this to a watch repair shoppe and had them add a thick leather strap which only added to the value of this piece. I like the clean lines, excellent detail and accuracy of this watch and look forward to making additional purchases of this brand in the future. |

| Returning this watch
(PrettyDisappointed, Washington, DC, 2007-12-14) |

| Got this to give as a gift. It shipped pretty quickly, which I'm glad of because now I have time to return it and get a new one.
The watch face looks really large, out of proportion to the strap, something you can't tell from the picture. Also the s... (more)trap looks and feels cheap, not like nice leather. Even the box it came in looks super cheap, so that if I was to actually give it as a gift I would take it out of the provided display box and use something else.
For such a cheap price, I guess it's an okay deal, but I'm surprised the "compare at" price is any higher--it doesn't look like it's worth more. |

| For the price, this watch has been great. I gave the durability 5 stars because usually a watch like this scratches very easily, let's say bumping a wall while walking by, those type of things... but the face on this watch is raised up with a flat gl... (more)ass surface and that seems to help the face stay really nice. So kudos on design there.. Other than that.. looks great.. people comment on it every now and then. The band seems nice enough to last me close to a year. I don't really expect more anymore for these faux bands. |

| Value But Different
(JJinKS, Kansas City, KS, 2008-06-01) |

| This watch is nice and a great value at the price overstock sells it at, but the watch itself looks much more dressy than the picture provided. The case looks like brushed stainless steel in the picture, whereas the actual watch is almost a chrome. I... (more) bought this as a casual watch with black leather band, but could almost wear it with my suit. I think it is a true value, but not much different than the Dufonte by Lucien Piccard Dress Watch that I bought with it, minus the shaped faces- but exact same leather bands. |
