Fluffy comforter (sml125, rural upstate NY, 2008-05-03)

I would recommend this product if you want the feel of sleeping on a comforter that packs down after a few days. I wanted the feel of a pillow top mattress and bought this fiberbed thinking it would fulfill that requirement. It is almost there, but not quite. The first night it was on the bed, on top of our pillowtop mattress pad and directly under our sheets, it had a "squishy" feeling. Fluffy, almost like sleeping on a comforter. It began to flatten out after a few days, and felt more like sleeping on a comforter. It made the bed feel a lot warmer. I didn't mind, but my husband was uncomfortable. I think that it was a good buy at the price we paid, but I was hoping to get the feeling of a pillowtop mattress when I purchased it. I think you would have to fluff it up regularly to keep the soft feeling. The squares were very large -- maybe if they were smaller they would stay plumper. It fit the king sized bed well, and the cotton cover is excellent. I had to remove it from our bed and will put it on the queen sized bed in our guest room. I think it isn't a bad deal, but if you are looking for something that is firm and resiliant, this isn't it.

We ordered these for the kids' twins beds after getting something similar for our bed. The price is excellent and the quality is not disappointing. I have seen similar items costing 2x as much. The kids are sleeping warmer (we are donating our heated mattress pads to someone else!) and they love the fluffy, luxurious feeling of "sleeping on a cloud". They have slept past their alarm every morning for the last week since using these and they are better rested. The only thing that might be improved on this, is to have baffled stitching along the border. It is baffled in the center, but channeled on the edges. The filling can slide around on the border. Not a big problem as the feaetherbed should be shaken out when changing sheets anyway...but baffled stitching would have kept the filling in place. We love these and I do recommend them to anyone wanting a cushier and warmer bed!

Disappointing! (CCYL, California, 2008-05-12)

Generally, a down alternative feather bed at this pricepoint is a great bargain. This particular bed, however, is not. It doesn't come with elastics to secure the featherbed to the mattress, so when one of us gets into bed, the mattress bunches up around us & pulls about 6 inches away from the edge all the way around. If two of us are in the bed, then one of us is on "half bare mattress, half featherbed". It's uncomfortable, inconvenient, and impractical -- we end up taking off the sheets to adjust the featherbed almost daily. We've had it a few months now and I am in the market for something new. Unfortunate waste of money.

Comfort Nights (VictoriaCa, california, 2008-05-04)

This bed topper is more comfortable then my way to expensive pillow top mattress. I would toss and turn endlessly with just my stupid "Serta" mattress. I tossed this on top...Ahhh ..feels like sleeping on a comfy cloud. Only downside is....you do have to "fluff" it up a bit now and again. Unlike the product description; which states no shifting in product material..it does shift and will even get lumpy . But....for the price I don't mind a little shake and fluff now and then. It compares nicely to very expensive down or goose feathered toppers.

This was an amazing purchase at a great price. It has made our bed so amazingly comfortable! I look forward to sinking into it every night. My husband was skeptical and now all I hear is how comfortable our bed is! This was one of my first purchases with Overstock. We have since purchased a new down comforter, new pillows, and new sheets. We feel like we are sleeping in a luxury bed, but without the luxury price! We have since redone our spare bedroom in all Overstock, too, and couldn't be happier.
