An excellent case (jakc, Rancho Santa Fe, CA, 2008-04-22)

"So far, so good." I have two other similar pilot cases (different brand), but since I'm often teaching 3 courses concurrently, I got tired of switching books and papers around. This was priced $20-30 cheaper than my other two, and is about an inch longer and wider -- both good selling points. I agree with those previous reviewers who criticized the design of the top flap. It doesn't stay folded back completely when loading the case. I carry a large rubber band and in a couple of seconds can attach the flap to the handle, holding the flap back until I finish loading. It's a minor inconvenience that I'm willing to endure for the price and size benefits. The outside compartments are useful. It's still too new to rate durability with any assurance, but the construction seems equivalent to the other two that have held up well for a couple of years. I like the case.

What a steal! (Ed987654321, Des Moines, IA, 2008-01-20)

I know this is no premium case, but for the money and features... I just love it. I frequently have meetings to go to where I need to carry all of the same supplies around, and all the room inside this hard case provides me with a way to organize it all. It doesnt look like I spent $200 or anything, but I would say it does look nice and professional and I have recieved many compliments about it from others in the business. I love the extendable handle and the fact it rolls. As mentioned in some other reviews of this product, some had concerns about a weak handle, but it seems fine to me. The exterior pockets come in handy for a place to put my documents that I havent reviewed, or pamplets I pick up. Overall... I am really happy I went with this case.

How I would improve the Daxx Rolling Pilot's Case (kk131313, Southern California, 2008-02-08)

Overall: 4 1/2 stars I would make the shorter flap on the top of the case wider and/or more flexible, so it could fold back more easily and stay that way when the case is open. I would add another lateral divider on the inside; it, like the other lateral files, could lay flat if not in use, thus not really taking up any more room . I would add a heavy-duty snap to each of the lateral files inside so that they could be closed tight and not interfere when getting into the main cavity of the case. Most important!!! I would put a locking mechanism on the telescopic handle when in its full-extended position.

Pilot's Case (MartieV, Southeast FL, 2008-02-04)

Good value for the money. The case holds the things I need to transport for work. The case is heavy when empty and can be quite heavy when you have it filled with your papers, notebooks, etc. to lift in and out of the car. That is my only complaint...it is just a heavy case empty/full to lift.

If Only It Lasted (Zaxxon, Raleigh, NCV, 2008-05-12)

Used on 2 trips -- at end of first, handle would not retract without opening case and manually depressing spring pin in handle. On second trip, spring pin in handle disappeared, and now handle comes completely off. If you want to carry by hand, ok, but if you'd like to roll, not so good.
