Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight and maintain at least two feet between furniture and heat sources. Aniline and Protected leathers are especially sensitive to direct sunlight. Lovely Ottoman - GREAT Deal !!! (roselee, Raleigh, NC, 2008-04-14)

I purchased this brown leather ottoman for my mother's living room. It looks as good as the picture if not better, and I relied on the review of others to make me feel confident with my purchase. The only complaint I would possibly have is that at first I had a little trouble finding a screwdriver long enough to go through the legs to put the legs on. There were no instructions, but none were really needed. It was quite obvious how to put the legs on. I had planned to use my power screw driver, but didn't have a screw bit long enough.... but I was able to put them on using a manual screwdriver. This being done with me being a woman and my husband not around to help me. Although truth be told, I'm probably more mechanically inclined than my husband. Although it did take some strength to screw the legs on tightly with a manual screwdriver. In all it probably too about 30 minutes. Which I thought was a lot of time to just screw some legs on. But the holes in the legs were narrow and just enough clearance for the strews. But I was able to finally able to get all the legs on tightly using a manual screwdriver. Both my mother and I were very pleased with the ottoman. I had purchased it as a surprise for my mother to go with her new living room outfit. It looks like I paid at least twice the price that I actually paid. It really makes her new living room outfit look complete and very stylish .. yet is very functional. Thanks Overstock.... another great deal.

This a good looking ottoman. The brown is true, not reddish or orangey. I had been working with an interior designer as I remodeled my townhouse. We were looking at ottomans that were in the $2000 range. I was very hesitant to spend this much money on something that people put their feet on. I started doing research on my own because I knew what I wanted. When I spotted this one at Overstock, I decided to order it with the knowledge that I could easily return it if unsatisfied. Well, it's staying! It's big enough to put a large tray on it for holding beverages with room leftover for kicking up. The tufting allows the leather to spring back smoothly. It's also very comfortable to sit on. The only thing that surprised me was the smell the leather gave off - a smell very much like bug spray. I had to keep windows open for a few days (glad it was summer) until the odor subsided. It's still slightly detectable but not too offensive. Although it's easy to put together, no instructions come with the piece. So it's up to you to figure out how the heavy screws fit into the legs and get screwed into the bottom of the piece.

The leather quality appears to be quite good. I was surprised at how well it was stitched together. The tufting looks great and seems are all straight and well done, which isn't always the case with leather furniture. The color is a nice rich chocolate brown, a perfect complement to our other leather furniture. This is being used by us and the kids in a family room in our recently finished walkout basement. The legs were all that needed to be attached, and that was done quickly and easily. The finish on the legs was decent; they appear reddish in direct sunlight. They had some scuffs likely from shipping, so could stand to be packaged a bit better. Overall a nice ottoman for a great price.

REALLY NICE, RICH LOOKING OTTOMAN (mebe1990, Rock Springs, WY, 2008-08-12)

This ottoman is worth every penny, and is nicer than most I looked at in high end furniture stores locally. The only thing I was disapointed in was the fact that the top didn't open up for storage inside. I neglected to check this, and just assumed it did because some of the others on the site did have that feature. So, be aware that this one does not. It fit perfectly in the middle of our large sectional and is a great addtition to our family room. The leather is really nice and the buttons/tufting is sewn well. It looks like it will hold up well over time. Thanks again for a great piece of furniture at an affordable price -- shipping was super fast too!

Brown Leather Ottoman (klyons, sacramento, CA, 2008-04-03)

I was very pleased with my first purchase from Overstock. The item was exactly as described and although a couple of reviewers said it was difficult to assemble I did not find that the case. It was shipped securely and quickly. It is a beautiful deep rich brown leather and the perfect size for my couch. It works great as a foot rest and also doubles as a coffee table. It is sturdy yet looks like a fine piece of furniture. The price was fantastic. I had looked at many other ottomans and found this one to be the right size, quality, and price. I am now confident in the quality of merchandise from Overstock and will definitely shop there again.
